I stared into her eyes and saw no stars.

Neither the galaxy nor the universe

was there to welcome home.

It was a sphere of darkness.

Devoid of any light,

butterflies,

and rainbows you often see in the sky

but, somehow

I felt peace in her solitude

the silence creeping in her gaze

was peaceful,

not eerie it was calm,

yet still empty.

Did I mention

that time didn't slow down,

my heart didn't skip a beat,

blood didn't rush to my cheeks,

but I knew it from then,

the void you had,

was mine to fill with stars,

galaxy,

and the whole universe

you deserve to see.
