chapter eleven~ iceland

ADAM POV

it had been a week and a half since i kissed Harper and every time we see each other we blush and i don't know what to do and Guy is no help at all. Today we play Iceland for the second time but this time we are prepared we have been training like crazy and watching their clips to know their every move.There is this one guy on their team that is always checking out the girls specifically Harper and i just glare at him as coach gives him the death stare i swear to god if he lays a finger on either of them or disrespects them in anyway i won't hesitate to deck him.

HARPER/YOU POV

you were the first one in the locker room for once and you plugged in your phone to the speaker so you can play some music as you were scrolling through your playlist you landed on the perfect song 'la di die' but then you changed your mind and put on 'eastside' which reminded you of your whole Adam situation which was well awkward to say the least, the girls were the first ones to arrive "ooo play the song bartender" Julie suggests "okay!" you reply "i love this dance so much" Connie exclaimed. Next Luis and Jesse showed up "dorks" Jesse scoffs. Next Adam shows up as the you and the girls were making a tiktok as Jesse was hyping you guys up sarcastically "got yourselves a fan club" Adam says looking at Jesse. "Who wants to be in my streaks?" you ask the room "ME!" Connie shouts as she sister snatches your phone and runs over to the boys and Julie, they take a funny photo "And save that" Julie says clicking your phone before what you assume Connie sent the picture to everyone "Hun you got a lot of boys on here, got something you wanna tell us?" Connie asks "what can i say everyone loves shawty" you answer making the room giggle. Now everyone was here and the song 'Slumber Party' was playing and you immediately got up and directed these lyrics at Guy "Me and your girlfriend playing dress up in my house she cute ,kawaii". You were finishing getting gear like everyone else and right now you had your waist bellow gear on and a pylon orange sports bra on and thats it as Jules called you over to her corner which happened to be across the locker room and without hesitation you just walked over "jesus christ put a god damn shirt on" Fulton yelled "AHH MY EYES" Goldberg joked "relax you guys have seen me in bathing suits" you tell them "Do we think hes cute?" Julie asks you showing you a picture of a soccer player with brown hair and hazel eyes "sis no soccer players are babies" you tell her (sorry to diss the soccer players that may or may not be reading this). "Harper you're center, Russ you're left wing, Guy you're right and our defense man are Dean and Fulton Goldberg is your goalie" Coach announces "quack on three" "QUACK QUACK QUACK QUACK" You were officially hyped as you took your place in center against Icelands Olaf. "ready to die?" Olaf asks "should be asking you that sweetie" you fire back as you blow him a kiss "are you guys ready?" Ref asks both you and Olaf nod you push him down and pass the puck to Guy who gets checked now Iceland has the puck well they did until Fulton checked him and passed it to you "Harper Bombay has the puck and is heading down the ice and she does her triple deke and she makes it in first goal of the night Team USA 1-0" the announcer states. "Bombay, Moreau switch it up" coach yells. You get into the box to be greeted by pats and smacks on your head "go get em Connie!" you shout to your best friend skating down to the goal until a goon from Iceland checks her really hard "AYO REF ARE YOU GONNA CALL SOMETHING YOU-" you were cut off by Charlie putting his hand over your mouth so you don't make the situation even worse "ref call something already for crying out loud" coach screams in anger. "Russ ,Mendoza switch it" Coach shouts putting Luis on the ice but before he hops out you turn to him and say "you got this Luis show them no mercy" he just nods and pots down his fishbowl. The buzzer goes off with 11 seconds left in period one the score is now 1-1 Iceland just scored "Guy ,Harper switch it up!" coach yells at the team. "Gordon Bombay putting his daughter in yet again"  

"oh shut up already" you yell at the sports announcer. Connie and you skate down to their goalie even though neither of you have the puck and no one is about to pass to you and you see none other than Olaf skating right to you guys but its too late for you guys to move until you hear a familiar voice "hang on girls i'm comin" a friendly cowboy shouts with a ..lasso? Before you knew it Olaf had a lasso around him before he could even touch you or Connie "know where i come from we treat ladies with RESPECT!" Dwayne yells "Thank you Dwayne but we aren't ladies we're DUCKS ,huh!" you and Connie say in unison as you push Olaf over making the crowd go wild with cheers. lol. Period two and the score was 3-2 in favor of Iceland but Adam was taking face-off against Gunnar Stahl, puck drops and Adam gets shoved by Gunnar "c'mon Banks go get em" you mumble to yourself. 40 seconds later "YES ADAM!!" he made a goal now tied again 3-3. Its now third period and the score is 4-3 you're winning and you have scored two of those goals but you are currently on the bench "coach put Julie in again!" the team pleads "Greg, Julie switch" now Julie is goalie "Banks, Harper change it up" you and Adam trade places and right now your team has the puck but Jesse has it and knowing him he'll try to score it all by himself so you just hangout by Julie until Olaf and this other goon come speeding at you and check you between them for no reason, the crowd and the team was filled with boos and groans except Iceland nooo they were cheering like they just won the lottery. "REF CALL SOMETHING" coach screeches the ref summons Olaf over to the penalty box but on his way he whispers this is your ear "i'm only going to the penalty box because your daddys coach, daddys girl" ugh he reminds me of Hayden you roll your eyes and skate behind jab his skates with your stick then you push him over real hard

ADAM POV

i saw Olaf whsiper something to Harper and she looked disgusted and rolled her eyes and then pushed him  

HARPER/YOUR POV

you push him real hard and turn to skate away and hear him about to say "oh you little bit-" but hes cut off by something so you turn and see none other than Adam Banks jumping out of the box and punching Olaf and blood starts gushing out "don't even think about calling her that" Adam tells the boy trying to get up but you push him back down "yeah we should wash your mouth out with soap, Olaf do better" you sass back "

that was hot.

alright you two in the box you go number 24 two minutes number 99 5 minutes" the ref announces as your teammates cheer you on! "you didn't have to do that ya know" you say to the boy next to you in the penalty box "technically i did" Adam exclaims "thank you Banksie, seriously thank you" "no biggie" he says with his beautiful smirk on his face. You guys were just talking and then two minutes passed and you got outta the box then Adam said this as your getting out "Hey Harper, i know you're playing hard out there but for the next three minutes could you play on my behalf?" "i mean you punched a guy for me so i guess so" you reply with a smirk. 

After the game you guys wanted to do something for your guys' last night in LA. oh and you guys won ofc

"we could watch a movie?" Luis suggested "we already did that" Guy replied. "what if we go shopping" Julie asks "Jules we did that though" you reply. "what about going on a hike? Just us ducks, no offence Elliana" Dwayne said "no i get it" Elliana responded. You guys went for a nice hike and Jesse caught these photos and sent them to the ducks groupschat
