I was running as fast as I could trying to catch the bus to my new school, I thought for sure I was going to miss it, but when I got there I was 10 minutes early, that was good. I was almost always late, but that was something that I wanted to change when I got to my new school. New school, new me! It was a boarding school, it was my first time going to one and I was really nervous, but I knew one of my friends from middle school was going to be there, her name was Misty. I wasn't sure if anyone else from my class had gotten excepted, but I was still really excited. Now it was 5 minutes until the bus came. Since it's a boarding school I'm going to have to share a dorm with someone, right? That would be exciting, I hope we become friends. 3 minutes until the bus comes. If all the students are living in the school, does that mean I can get up later since I can just walk to the school building for classes instead of having to drive or take the bus? No, I'd probably still have to get up early for breakfast. Now there was less than a minute before the bus was scheduled to arrive. Just as it was pulling up, someone came running up to me. "Hey Y/n, how are you?" asked the honey blonde girl when she reached me.
"Serena?!" I said.
"Yeah, that's me" said my friend since kindergarten.
"It's so great to see you!" I said. "But wait, what are you doing here?"
"Getting on the bus to school" she said.
"Cool, so the rhyhorn racing school is in the same direction as my school?" I asked.
"Oh, I'm not going to rhyhorn racing school anymore" Serena explained.
"You're not? Then where are you going?" I was confused, Serena's mom had been very insistent telling her she had to go to rhyhorn racing school to further her career as a rhyhorn racer.
"I'm going to Lumiose Academy" Serena said.
"What? No way! That's where I'm going!" I exclaimed in excitement. "But how did you get your mom to let you? Last time I checked she was dead set on you being a rhyhorn racer"
"Well, I showed her the school's record, and after I got excepted she couldn't say no"
"That's amazing! I can't believe you're going to the same school as me!"
"I know, we're going to have so much fun together"
"Um..... are you getting on?" asked the bus driver.
"Oh, yeah, we are, sorry" I said as we both got on the bus.
We found seats next to each other and talked the whole way there. I thought I would be nervous on this bus ride, but I felt just fine. I guess having your friend to talk to really helps a lot when it comes to nerves. The bus parked in front of our new school and we got off.
"Wow, look at this place, it's huge!" Serena said as soon as she saw the school, I had to agree it looked pretty gigantic.
