May 17th

I was in the lunchroom waiting in a long line to get my lunch. In the corner of my eye, I spotted Vivien and Lia sitting together.

Ever since last week, they've been friends. She's been hanging out more with Vivien than she has with anyone else.

Aisha and Jade have completely disappeared. They haven't shown up at school, not that I really care anyway.

But what feels weird is that Lia hated Vivien and all of a sudden they are best friends. Something must have happened.

Lia used to bother me all the time and now she just glances at me. She doesn't even speak or text me anymore.

I quickly grabbed my lunch and walked over to her table.

They looked at me and I gave them a fake smile.

"Can I sit?" I asked.

Lia looked unsure about what to say.

Since none of them answered, I just sat down right in the middle of them.

"So what have you guys been doing?" I questioned with a fake smile.

"Stop being such a nosey bitch," said Vivien, rolling her eyes.

"What's wrong with wanting to know?" I asked.

"Because you don't need to know," answered Vivien in an angry voice.

"So, Lia how have you been?" I asked, trying to ignore Vivien.

Vivien scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"I've been fine, I guess," She said with an unsure face.

"Are you sure? I've seen you cry multiple times," I said with a worried look.

"Well uh-"

"There's nothing wrong with her so how about you go away?!" shouted Vivien.

All the focus in the lunchroom turned onto our table.

"Lia, can I just please know what's wrong with you," I begged, "I'm worried about you."

Lia just froze, she was sweating a lot and couldn't keep her focus on one thing. She was breathing rapidly and she was slowly becoming paler by the second.

She stood up unsteadily and quickly stumbled to the bathroom. Me and Vivien followed her.

Lia rushed into a stall and all you could hear was a lot of chunky liquid falling into the toilet. I smelled the pungent scent of rotten milk with cheese.

"Lia, did you just puke?" I asked.

"Get out!" shouted Lia.

"It was just a question and I just wanna know why you've been so sick the past couple of days," I sighed.

She carefully opened the stall door. Her shirt was soaked with puke and blood.

"Lola, leave now!" shouted Vivien.

"How about you leave?" I suggested.

She rolled her eyes and sighed.

"Lia, you need to get cleaned up,"  She said.

Lia took off her stained t-shirt and tossed it on the ground.

For a second, it seemed like they both forgot I was there. Until Lia looked over at me and covered her arm.

But it was too late, I already saw her arm before she covered it.

There were two puncture marks near a wound and it was swelling. Around the wound area, some of her skin was black and some of it had dried blood on it.
