"Message Oyakata sama! Message from Oyakata sama!" My kasugai crow, which I named Tori, crowed.

I slowly open my eyes, only to find Tori perched on me. I flinch in surprise, which causes Tori to take off and fly onto my window. I sighed and then got up. It was bad enough that during last night's patrol, I encountered so many demons. Now it seems that I won't even be able to get any sleep. I sat up and looked at Tori.

"Well?"

"Reminder to be on time for the Hashira meeting at noon," Tori replied.

I sigh, "Alright, you can go."

And with that, Tori began to fly off. I got out of my futon and change into my uniform. I wear my usual outfit, my dark turquoise tinted corps uniform. On top, I wear a light blue Haori with a gold pattern along the border. I brush my teeth, slipped on my blindfold to cover my rainbow eyes and head out. I rarely seldomly my rainbow eyes, not after, well, that's not important.

"Ohayo!" A group of kakushi greeted me.

"Ohayo," I responded politely. "Where is everyone else?" I asked.

Apparently, most of them were at Butterfly Estate after a disaster happened. I also found out that there were at least fifty lower ranks dead. I sighed and thought, this is going to be a long day. I decided to go to Butterfly Estate to lend Shinobu a hand since I had nothing better to do. It was also because I did not want to train.

I regret my decision.

Shinobu, who hasn't gotten any sleep, has eye bags under her eyes, was in a bad mood. But, she immediately smiled when she saw me.

"Ah, Ryoko! I was just the person I need!" She said, looking me in the eyes.

Our eyes meet for a moment, me looking through her purple eyes, and, although she didn't know, her eyes meet mine.

"I'll take over from here; how bout you catch some sleep before the meeting?" I asked.

"Ah, do I look that bad?" Shinobu asks me, clearly irritated.

"Yes"

Crap! that sounded blunt, I thought to myself.

"I suppose I could use some sleep," Shinobu replies in defeat.

"Aoi told me the same thing."

And with that, Shinobu went to her room, leaving me to everything. I started helping the injured, cleaning their wounds and such. By the time I got to everyone, it was almost noon. I went to wake Shinobu up, and then we headed off to Oyakata sama's place.

By the time we arrived, Iguro and Shinazugawa were already there. I go to my usual spot, leaning on the same tree Iguro is on. We start a small conversation, talking about recent missions and such. Our small talk was put on a halt when Mitsuri came. I don't mind and instead; watch the two of them talk. It was painfully obvious they romantically liked each other. I turn to see who else has arrived. Rengoku and Uzui are talking loudly, Uzui putting the word 'flamboyant' in every other sentence. Himejima was mumbling prayers or something similar to that, while Shinobu was bullying Giyuu again. Then I spot Muichiro. I happily hummed and walked next to him.

"Tokito kun?" I asked, snapping him out of his thoughts. He turned, and we stared at each other for a moment.

We begin to chat after that. It was your usual boring conversation, the type you start to kill time.

"Hey, after this meeting, wanna go out and grab a bite or something?"

"Huh?" that question caught me off guard. "S-sure"

"Alright," Tokito kun replied with a smile. My heart skipped a beat when that happened.

"Oyakata sama has arrived," everyone bowed at the Ubuyashiki twin's announcement.

The meeting itself wasn't too special, reports of more demons appearing, more people dying, etc.

"They are all incompetent!" I hear Shinazagawa say. "If they were competent, then they wouldn't all be dying!"

"Well, it's only going to get harder recruiting more talented people; the population is growing," Mitsuri replies with her usual.

I internally groan as the two starts to bicker. "Have you forgotten we are in front of Oyakata sama?" I snare at the two of them.

They immediately shut up and apologized.

"It's alright," Master replies with a gentle voice.

The meeting continued smoothly after that. The only noteworthy part of the meeting was learning that I got a new mission with Tokito kun.

After the meeting, I go to Tokito kun, and we start to head to a nearby town for lunch.
