"The Dark Woods."
Upon hearing those words the princess footsteps came to a halt.
She didn't knew much about that place since she barely conversed with people but the thing she knew was that The Dark Woods were known for its mysterious murders and as far as she knew no one even goes near those nightmarish woods anymore.
There also was a time when those woods boomed with tourists. People would come from all over to camp and hike. But eventually unexplainable deaths began to take place. There wasn't a time where the person missing came back alive, it was always the remains of that person, there were never any survivors. But those who have seen the capturing of the people, they always describe the cause behind it as the Shadow in the Woods.
Just as the people stopped going to those woods the deaths also stopped.
And now suddenly out of nowhere the king was planning on going there. The princess couldn't seem to understand.
She didn't know the reason and now she thought it would be better not to.
But the thing she knew was that she wanted to try and keep her only family safe.
The princess faced the king.
"Let me come with you."
She was speaking against the king. It was of no good but she wanted to try at least.
The king wasn't fazed at all by this. Like it didn't mean anything to him at all. She didn't mean anything at all.
"You are you stay here in The Palace, and be here in my place for me."
What was the king saying. She knew he had many councilman that would do the work in his place. It was like he was just going and never coming back. She didn't even wanted to think about that.
Somehow she knew that after this little talk the king will be already gone.
Not the king not the queen ever waited or even cared. She thought.
She could do nothing and accept it just as it was.
She looked up to see to have a look on her father's face for one last time before his leave. Then she bowed down and turned around to take her leave.
What the Princess and The King didn't know was what was coming to them, to their kingdom was
"Inevitable."
