"Arianna, my miracle."
I looked around but was met with the sight of pitch black, darkness surrounding me. Frowning in surprise and confusion, knowing that voice. It was a melody that was unforgettable, it was my mother's voice. A voice I thought I would never hear again. But why now she speaks to me? How is this possible in any way? That could only be possible if I was dead. I pondered over that, what if I was dead? Long gone from my forest. Or momma is alive? But that is impossible-
I heard chuckles surrounding me echoing. " Do not worry," she murmured with a calm soothing voice that once was like a balm to my physical and emotional wounds but in this case it did not.
" Where are you?" I screamed with desperation in my voice that was clawing through my throat, leaving a burning ache in it's trail. There was only silence that greeted me , the only sound echoing through the void was my own irregular harsh breathing .

"Let me see you!" I screamed.

"Please, Please," I begged through my tears that was clouding my vision, stinging my eyes but they did not fall.

" Please", sobbing I went on my knees. Laying my head on the ground I could not see. The irony was too real, just as I could not see the floor, and around me. I couldn't see my own god- dang mother. Frustration erupted through me, anger quick on its tail. My fist pounding against the ground. It was as if the anger that was flowing through my veins is numbing my senses. Cutting off the nerve signals of pain that was going too my brain. But the anger slowly went away turning into grief and sadness. I glanced at my hand, a tear. I never fully cried since my mother's funeral, never had tears run down my face but had them fill my eyes. Realizing that drive down humor into this bizarre situation. I started laughing maniacally while driving my fingers nails down through the skin of my arms. To see if any of this is real, hoping that the pain will bring me back, to reality, to my safe place. My forest where-
A shiver ran down my spine as I felt a cold freezing touch but it has the lingering trace of warmth. A mother's warmth, touch, and embrace. It slowly graze up to my eye from my cheek, brushing away the tears that went down my face. I felt her breath that fanned across my face causing my eye lids to close against it's own will. Goosebumps rising-

Her breath as cold as her touch but still had the lingering warmth just as her touch also did.
"My miracle"
My eyes watering. I exhaled a shuddering breath, "Mama."

" You must continue", she said. I started looking around the area in search of her. But I was only met with pure darkness. It was like a void of some sort. "This has to be a dream, a nightmare," I said to myself aloud. I was met with chuckles.
" Your not" she said.
If it's not-
" Where were you the whole time I was alone, when I was suffering?" I screamed. There was no response it was if the silence was worse than the sounds of people conversing.
A soft sigh echoed through the dark black void.  But it was not in the lack of patience but it was in despair.

" You will know in time but for now you must know that you will fall in the near future but not in the way you think. It will ensure your heart," her cryptic words was like nails to my flesh.
My breathing became harder, it was if the air that I was inhaling was toxic. Burning my throat.
Feeling a pair on my lips on my forehead, I looked up. My lips opening in a gasp, seeing a form in a halo of light.
"Mama!"
I saw her lips smiling in happiness,
" Know I will always will be watching you. I love you", she said.
" Wait", I screamed in desperation but she already fading away.
"NOOOO!!!!!"
The ground underneath fell, leaving me in the air suspended. My arms flailing around me searching to hold me up, coming up empty handed. I stopped letting the tears that never touch my skin, fell in a sad trail.
" I love you too", responding to nothing but air.
