It was a beautiful day in the town of Morioh. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the kids were playing. It was the perfect Friday, all except for Leela. Leela had been a resident of Morioh for a month and she already hated the place. Leela was the only child of the Jones family. Her father was a hard worker that worked for a large and influential corporation called the Speedwagon Foundation. Leela's father was recently promoted to the company's Japanese branch, so her family ended moving to Morioh from Utah.

Leela tried fitting in at her new school but many of the students didn't want to acknowledge her, and those that did would bully her on a regular basis. All because she was a lesbian. The boys that bullied her would often corner her and then push her around like a punching bag, all the while calling her names.

Today the bullies took things too far. They had Leela cornered behind the school gym after school, as usual, but this time they didn't start shoving her like they always did. Instead, they were joined by a girl with pale skin and blonde hair. "Wow you guys were right, she's way more pathetic in person," said the girl.

"Yeah, what kind of freak are you anyway?"

"What a loser"

The girl moved closer and grabbed hold of Leela's blue-dyed hair. "I can't believe people let you into this country"

The girl let go of Leela's hair and grabbed onto the collar of her uniform. Then the girl picked Leela up and shoved her against a wall. The female bully elbowed Leela in the stomach, effectively knocking the wind out of her. The girl let go of Leela as she slumped to the ground clinging to her stomach. "Freak" sneered the girl as she spat on Leela and left the scene, laughing.

Leela began to silently cry, she lifted up her shirt and saw a nasty bruise on her stomach. Why did those bullies hate her so much? Who cares if she liked girls? She was still a human being, so why treat her so poorly. Simple, she was different. Humans have a natural fear of the unknown, and that fear considers things not of the norm threats. Humans act on those fears to prevent the threats from becoming wide-spread, even if the "threat" isn't dangerous. However, humans can overcome their fears, so why won't people stop treating Leela like a threat? Satisfaction? Superiority? In the end, it doesn't matter. Leela was different, and that's something that all bullies tend to target.

As She was walking home, she was overcome with a strong feeling in her stomach. It wasn't the pain from getting elbowed, it was hunger. Leela remembered she had gym class earlier that day, so it was only natural that she'd be hungry. She would've gone home and ate something, but all her parents served was Japanese food that she wasn't a particular fan of. It was their way of "taking in the culture of their new home" or something like that. Leela wanted something other than miso-flavored beef tongue for once.

"Good Afternoon Morioh, Kai Harada here with some amazing news regarding a new restaurant..."

Leela was knocked out of her thoughts by the sudden crackling of a radio on a nearby porch. She stopped to listen.

"TRUSSARDI'S TRATTORIA is a brand new Italian restaurant that has recently opened. It's rumored that the food actually makes you healthier with insane results..." Leela took a sticky note from her bag and wrote down the address. Italian was her favorite, before they moved her parents would often go out to celebrate. Including the time she came out as lesbian. Her parents were very supportive, kind, and loved her no matter what kind of people she was into. The same couldn't be said for her bullies of course.

A few minutes later, Leela arrived at the restaurant. It a small stone building with a wooden roof, a small porch was in front of the entrance with a small sign. Leela walked over to the sign and read it out loud. "Today's special, Capacino, mineral water, red wine, all food based servings are diner dependant," Leela scratched her right temple in confusion "What does that mean?" She walked into the restaurant and took a seat at a table in the corner. The restaurant was seemingly empty with the only noise coming from a man exiting the kitchen. "Benvenuta"
