Before Dawn

Chapter 21

Type looks back at Tharn when Fighter leaves the room. He looks at him suspiciously.
"What is Fighter talking about? Did you do this to Tutor?" Type backs away from him slowly.
"No, I didn't. You have to trust me." Tharn tries to touch Type but he backs further away.
"Don't touch me." Type warns him. He looks at Tutor lying unconscious  and back at Tharn. "I think you should leave."
"But I didn't do anything." Tharn tries to explain.
"If you don't leave, I will call security." Type threatens him.
With a little hesitation, Tharn leaves the room.
Type looks back at Tutor feeling a little pity for him. There are stitches almost all over his face with an oxygen mask covering his nose and mouth. Type couldn't look anymore so he turns around. Yes, he hates Tutor for stealing Fighter but he just feels sympathy for him at this moment, he isn't heartless.
     The door opens and Mai walks in  leaving the door open for Jab, Madam Ahn and Miss Cheer to come in.
"What did the doctor say?" Type asks.
Then someone knocks on the door before it is opened revealing two police officers. The entire family turns towards the officers.
"Are you all related to Mr. Tutor?" The man asks.
"Yes we are. Is there any problem?" Miss Cheer asks.
"Please you all are to follow us. We have some questions for you." The man replies.

         The family of Tutor, Mr Thananan and Tharn and finally Fighter are at the police station. They have been questioned by the police; asking where they were the night Tutor was almost killed. They all gave their appropriate account. Fighter is the last to be questioned and he returns to the waiting room with the others. The police officer, Meen, comes to the waiting room looking at the people suspiciously.
  Meen stops in the center of the family and friends, "I know you all must be wondering why you were questioned"
The family and friends of Tutor look at each other and then back at the police officer.
"Tutor was strangled by someone and then pushed off the balcony in Mr. Thananan's house."
Mai gasps in shock and begins to weep but Madam Ahn massages her back gently to soothe her.
"The suspect wore gloves so we could not get any prints from the person. There are two possiblities; Tutor is a victim of robbery or was planned to be assassinated. The investigation is still ongoing so you all may leave if you want. Thank you for your time." Meen leaves the waiting room.
Everyone stands up immediately rushes towards the exit before the police officer changes his mind as they think.
"I hope they catch whoever did this to Tutor." Mai says as they start descending down the stairs.
Type looks at Tharn when he hears his mother say that and Tharn is looking back at him but he quickly looks at his front.
"I wished I called more often. I hope he survives this." Jab says.
"What did the doctor say?" Type asks.
"He told us he's in a coma and he is in a very fragile state. God, I wish I was there for him. I treated him so badly and if he dies thinking I hated him I don't think I can forgive myself." Immediately, tears spill out of Mai's eyes. She covers her mouth with hand to reduce her weeping sound but it did not help. Jab brings his wife closer and rubs her back to calm her down. They enter their car and speed off.
    Mr. Thananan and Tharn stop beside their car. Mr. Thananan tries to open the door but Tharn holds it back.
"What's wrong?" Mr. Thananan asks.
"Why are you so calm about all this? Tutor was almost murdered in our house. Fighter is accusing us especially me of trying to kill him. If someone tried to assassinate him, how did he get into the house?"
"Tharn, calm down. We are innocent so why should we be concerned with what they say about us. Let's go home. I'm tired and I have to get some sleep because I have a meeting tomorrow."
The father and son get into their car and they drive off. Fighter sees the two family leave but he is totally confused on what to do or where to even start in all this. He decides to return home to have a change of clothes and eat before returning to Tutor's side.
       Tutor wakes up and sees himself in a green garden filled with different colours of flowers. He stands up and looks around and it seems the garden goes on forever. He walks slowly hoping to come across something but still nothing.
"Is anyone here?" Tutor shouts. His voice echoes but no one replies him. He falls to the garden and begins crying suddenly light shines in his face. He looks up at the bright light. It's so warm and inviting. He stands up and begins walking towards it. As he gets closer, the light gets brighter. Tutor stretches his hand towards the light but immediately it vanishes completely leaving Tutor hopeless. He looks around searching for the light. A  brighter yellow light appears in front Tutor shining more. Tutor gasps in shock not expecting the light. Tutor eyes opens immediately and he sees himself in the hospital but he still feels dizzy. He tries to keep his eyes open but it's heavier before he knows it his eyes close back.
     A doctor and nurse rush into Tutor's hospital room because his heart beats had accelerated too fast from their monitoring system. They do the necessary procedures to bring him to a stable condition.
"What do you think happened?" The nurse asks doctor.
"I really don't know. He didn't seem he would survive. I told his family that just to give them some hope."
"So he will make it?"
"Yes he will. He's stable now." The doctor smiles.
