I sat there staring at the mark, it would never go away. These thoughts have been hunting me since it was burnt into my wrist. it's a hideous thing that no one should be punished with, only one person has a worse mark and I witnessed it in my own house. The screaming was too much, sometimes the only way I can sleep peacefully is to pass out. I dug through the drawer looking for the knife blade I had put there last night. If mother found out she would cry, that's the only reason I'm going back to Hogwarts. They have sent me a letter saying I'm headboy, I don't know how that works, after all that I've done...after everything I've helped with, I'm a coward. I looked at the mark once more before dragging the cool metal across it,I deserve this.
Her hair swept over her shoulders s she ran away, I kept chasing trying to figure out who she was. I wanted to run my fingers through her chestnut hair, see the color of her eyes, hear the beauty that is her voice. As always I am woken before I can catch up to her.
There was blood all over my desk when I woke up, it wasn't the first time. As I start to clean up mother comes in.
"Draco dear what happened?" I panicked.
"I fell asleep and my nose started bleeding but don't worry I've got it almost cleaned up" she sighed.
"Alright I'm going to bed. You may eat whatever you like for dinner" but when she left I went to bed as well. I rarely eat unless she was around. Mom is taking this harder than me, she loved him and love is stronger than any magic. At least she didn't have to live with the mark.
