I THOUGHT I KNEW YOU

My assumptions were fantasies created in my head.
Even though your face gave me a reason to smile.
I knew planes always run before they fly.
Is this really you, or it's your spy?

The waves are calm in the mornings.
But you never see the aggressiveness they display at night.
Sweetness becomes bitter when it's too sweet.
I hope this reality keeps me on my feet.

I had hopes, but I was quick to judge.
If you had shot a spell, maybe I'd be weak to dodge.
I hope Cupid never discovers the feeling I had for you.
Else, I'd be stuck with someone I thought I knew.

Personalities are unpredictable.
We never knew there was water in coconut until we broke it.
Don't judge people by thier behavior.
They show you what they want you to believe.
Why hiding their real personality behind the scenes.
