I woke up before Donna and slipped out of bed. I know she would not be the happiest, but I wanted to make her a little breakfast in bed. I tiptoed down the stairs and chose to make cinnamon peach oatmeal. I cooked it up and spread peach slices on top with a dollop of whipped cream for each bowl. I took the steamy bowls and trailed back up the stairs. I tiptoed into Angie's room and placed the smaller bowl by her nightstand. When I walked into Donna's room, she stirred in her sleep. I giggled as I set her oatmeal on the nightstand and slowly ate away at my own. The smell must have woken her because the moment I slipped back under the sheets with a spoonful in my mouth, her eye fluttered open and she sniffed the air.

"When did you make oatmeal?" She yawned as she sat up and I handed her the oatmeal. She glanced at her clothes while she grabbed the oatmeal. "I slept in my clothes?" Then her eye assessed my clothes. "We slept in our clothes?"

"You were plastered. The carriage is still at the castle." She groaned.

"Oh." She looked down at her oatmeal. "This looks good." She took timid bites. "Did you give Angie any?"

"She has her own bowl in her room." Donna nodded and picked at her food. I leaned back against the headboard with my own bowl, and we ate. I set the bowls aside as we finished. "Do you have any plans for tomorrow?" Her brow raised as she leaned back against the headboard.

"Mmmmm, no," she said quietly. "I don't have any projects that need dire attention. Why?" I smiled to her sweetly.

"Could I maybe borrow you tomorrow?"

"Borrow me?"

"For a date!" Donna's cheeks blushed.

"D-Date?" I nodded to her. Her hands fiddled in her lap as a smile teased on her lips. "I mean, I can make myself available for a date." I giggled as she said it.

"Perfect."

"B-But aren't we passed the dating phase?" She asked shyly.

"You never get passed dates, darling." I kissed her cheek and she steamed back under the covers. I chuckled at her shy nature. She kept herself hidden under the covers. "I do want your approval to have the day though. I'll be sure to prepare food for you two, but I do want to have the day free." Her eye peaked out from under the blankets.

"W-Why?"

"Because I really want to make the date perfect." She steamed further under the sheets and I laughed. "Why are you so shy about the date, hm? You act like we haven't done so much more already."

"I-I've...before you...I've never had a relationship." She curled herself into the blankets. "I h-have always wanted to go on a date."

"Then I'll make sure that it's perfect." The blanket went over my head moments later, and her lips connected with mine.

"It will be perfect because you planned it." She whispered against my lips. I smiled as I kissed her back.

"Then I will see you later?"

"I will see you for lunch?" Donna asked.

"I can sit with you and Angie for lunch."

"Duke!" I shouted out as I ran through the village. Lycan followed me at a distance as I made way over to the carriage in the square. Another woman stood at his cart as he waved to me.

"Caiden!" He chimed. "You seem in a hurry." When the woman turned around, I slightly gasped. It was Mother Miranda without the wings and extra robes. She smiled sweetly to me as she waved to me as well.
