Castle Demitrescu looked fabulous in the springtime. All of the flowers flourished. The chairs were aligned for the small family Donna had. Angie stood alongside as her maid of honor as Elena and Nikolai stood alongside me as my equally best men. Mother Miranda smiled at me as I stood on the balls of my feet. She held a book of vows in her hand. Little Eva was in basinet alongside her. Nikolai put a hand on my shoulder, and I turned to him.
"You ready?" He asked.
"Yeah, Donna looks gorgeous in her dress!" Elena squealed.
"You saw?" I asked.
"You know I had to sneak a peek!" Elena claimed. I chuckled to her. "You're a lucky girl." The smile almost split my face in half with how wide it was. Most sat on Donna's side with smiles on their faces. It was warm enough for the Lady Demitrescu's daughters. They sat around her full of giggles, smiles, and hungry stares for the servants that helped with the affair. The Duke sat on my side in his carriage and clapped to me. After a moment, Lord Heisenburg walked around the side and gave a thumbs up as he walked to his seat. Donna came out moments later. Two dolls in their best little suits stood on either side of her. My mouth dropped and tears came to my eyes.
The dress was the same as Angie's. It hugged her body beautifully as she slowly walked down the short aisle. A hand came to my mouth as I cried. She was too beautiful. She glowed under the sunlight as she came to my side and the dolls flew behind Angie. Her hand gripped tightly into mine. Granted, her face was covered with a white veil this time instead of a black one.
"Donna, you look beautiful," I whispered against her ear.
"O-only for y-you," she said quietly. "I-I w-wanted to do s-something special for you." I quirked my brow as she turned to Mother Miranda and nodded. I glanced up toward the woman and she nodded back with a full smile on her face and started to read from her book. My eyes never left the woman throughout the entire ceremony. I could not tell you ten words that Mother Miranda said.
"Caiden," Mother Miranda finally took my attention from my bride. "Do you take Donna to be your wife? Your forever soulmate?" I smiled brightly at Donna as I answered.
"I do."
"And Donna?" She asked quietly as she turned to her. "Do you take Caiden to your wife? Your forever soulmate?" Donna slipped her hand away from mine and tossed her veil over her head. I gasped at the sight. Flowers covered the cadou on her face. I saw her glorious smile and the eye that shined against the sun.
"I do."
"Then I may pronounce wife and wife. You may each kiss your bride." Mother Miranda snapped her book shut. I turned to Donna, and she turned to me. Excitement gripped my heart as I leaned in. Her lips met mine midway and cupped my cheek to hold me there. She kissed me two more times as everyone around us cheered. I pulled away and hugged her as tight as I could. Everyone ran up to us and pulled us into hugs. Everyone awed over Donna's face and her cheeks turned three shades redder as she grabbed my hand. She pulled me into her tightly and held me there as people congratulated us.
We danced and celebrated well into evening before we went back to our manor. I held Donna as we entered the house and up the stairs. Angie squealed to her doll friends that could not attend, per Alcina's request. Donna giggled as she was brought to the bedroom. I sat her down before I sat down myself. Her smile blotted out the sun as she kissed me again.
"I love your dress," I said to her for the thousandth time that day.
"It was my mother's," she said quietly. "When my father made Angie, that was his inspiration for the dress. He wanted to see me in it on my wedding day." She happily sighed as she leaned against me. "I just hope he saw it from his seat wherever he's at."
"I'm positive that they both did," I said quietly.
"We're married," she giggled.
"Yes we are." I kissed her nose. She held me as tight as she could as I fell back in bed.
"I never thought this day would come," she admitted softly.
"Well, believe it! It did!" Her chuckle was dark as she nuzzled into me. "I guess you're stuck with me forever." She kissed my cheek as we laid there comfortably. "You know my father used to say something similar to my mother."
"Hm?"
"You're stuck with me forever and a day. Just in case forever ends, I want that extra day. That way we know that we can vow for the next forever and the day after that as well." Donna smiled sweetly as she crawled on top of me. She kissed me softly on the lips and whispered against my lips.
"You're stuck with me forever and a day. Just in case forever ends, I want that extra day. That way we know that we can vow for the next forever and the day after that as well." She whispered in between kisses. "And no matter what that promise will never break because I'll always have that extra day to be able to convince you to stay."
Author's note:
I'm sorry that this is so short. I wanted to make sure that I did not leave anyone on a cliffhanger. I'm beyond happy that you all enjoyed this story that you saw it through till the end. I gave up on writing years ago, and I just got back into it recently for a book that I don't even know if people will read when it is published. This fanfiction was fun and made me realize I have fallen for Donna like six times over as I wrote it. I'm glad that you all thought it was good enough to read.
Thank you all so much!

FanfictionHi guys! So this is an alternate universe which means the plot is a bit different overall. It is Donna x maid. I also should probably add that there will be explicit content i.e. sex, cursing, all of that stuff. Just thought I'd put that out there...
