6:15 PM
They arrived rather early for Mr. Creevey and his family. It was 15 past six, and Selena struggled to put on her earpiece, just how she struggled with everything else she did. I do not clarify this as an insult.
Matt was trying to test out the earpiece if it worked or not, communicating with the guys in the other van. Nick and Joe clearly had no trouble putting it on, making Selena doubt that Matt was the reason she couldn't put it on.
"Check check," she heard, making her squeal with excitement. "Ooh, yes, I can hear you now!" she said back, trying to hold down the enthusiastic tone she was using.
"Great, you can come down now," Fred ordered, only pausing to shut Nick and Zayn up. They were arguing again. "Right, sorry about that- Sel, make sure there aren't any wires sticking out from your necklace-"
Matt helped her check and nodded, telling her she was alright.
"Okay, good, come on down now," Fred repeated.
Selena stepped out of the car into the clear Paris air. It wasn't too hot out because night was arising and the sun was slowly setting. She stumbled forward when she realized that the car behind her had just zoomed away- she was standing on her own.
"Selena? What are you doing? Get in there! Don't just stand there, you'll look like a freak!" Fred instructed. "Wish freak," Nick sniggered. Selena jerked herself, ignoring Nick, and walked slowly towards the entrance, trying to normally walk in the stilettos she was wearing.
It had been too long.
"Ma'am," greeted the, seems to be, manager.
Selena was told that she was to be nice, but not too nice, so she stuck her nose in the air, resolving Nick and Joe's laughter in her ear. Fred had to shut them up. (He was clearly trying to work out why the manager won't let her in.)
Selena's heart was beating slightly, taunting, in her mind, for Fred to fix whatever was going on.
There was a ping from the man's tablet and he brightened up, "Ah, yes," he said again, his accent more pronounced. "You must a'be Madame Selena! Right, this a'way, pleash-"
Selena blinked twice and stepped up the stairs, following the man. Her eyes trailed up to the Eiffel tower that was glowering down at her. She entered the restaurant.
**********
"Come on, Zayn, we haven't much time!" Fred ushered. Zayn was frightened again.
