Chapter 11

Euphoria

Jimin had a black headband tightly wrapped his head as he wore his black basketball jersey and black basketball shorts. He walked towards the centre of the sports hall as Namgi, dressed from head to toe in white, walked towards the centre of the sports hall from the other side. They both had piercing eyes as they glared at each other.
Their other teammates slowly joined them at the court, positioning themselves as the referee stood between the two of them while grasping onto a basketball. Min watched anxiously from the side with Hana as she stared at Jimin and Namgi. 
Although Jimin was on her team, he was still a little brat. And Namgi.. he was... he was a guy that made Min feel a slight bit different from her usual emotionless self. She never smiled but when she thought of Namgi, she smiled a bit. How could anyone not? The referee held the ball high as Namgi and Jimin both crouched down, sending each other death glares.

"Go team!"

Min reluctantly yelled together with her team. Jimin seemed to hear her cheer and got distracted, turning his head to look at Min. Once he turned his head, the whistle echoed in the sports hall and the ball was thrown up in the air. 

And Namgi had caught it.

"Oh come on!"

Min yelled, causing Jimin's heart to sink a bit. However, Jimin was not giving up. He was not letting Namgi steal his ball. He was going to do anything to get the ball back. Hence, he yelled throughout the basketball match, giving instructions as he ran around stealing the ball from the opposing team. 
Soon, the two teams were neck to neck and there was only 10 seconds left. Gritting his teeth, Jimin spotted the ball in Namgi's possession and sprinted towards Namgi. Just as Namgi was about to pass it to his other teammate, Jimin intercepted the pass and started dribbling towards the net.

"Go Jimin!"

Min hollered. She had never imagined herself encouraging Jimin but today she surprisingly did. Jimin turned his head to look at Min while he was dribbling and shot her a charming smirk and wink before jumping and threw the ball in the air. Min grew red but she quickly shook that off as her gaze settled on the ball. The ball circled the hoop and there was 3 seconds left.

2 seconds,

The ball was still circling.

1 second,

The ball was slowing down.

Beep!

The ball went in right before the beep! Min jumped up from her seat as she exclaimed in joy. Jimin smiled in joy as he ran towards her and hugged her, lifting her up in the air. The entire crowd cheered louder than before as Min held him tightly.
