I looked in the mirror. I felt amazing. I've never felt like this before, it's a feeling that I can't describe. It's like melting chocolate, or the sound of a fire crackling. It moment was something that I could compare to the first snow of the season. Something so magical. I felt complete. My hair was done up in a beautiful updo. Seraphina pinned a crystal hairpin that gleamed in the light. My eyes were tearing up, my left eye was a grayish blue, and my right eye was a khaki green. I don't know which eye is my real eye color, I might never know.

"You look amazing, I've never seen you so happy." sighed Katherine.

"Thanks guys, I would have never been able to do this without you." I said happily.

Today was the day that I would figure out my future, or the start of it that is. Katherine dawned a highly extravagant dark red dress. It looked like a gigantic red rose. It was a taffeta dress. Because of her Spanish heritage she could pull it off. She looked as though she were the goddess Aphrodite. Her hair was in a similar updo, but compared to mine she looked as though she were a runway model. If her amazing looks didn't convince you of her model status, then her eyes defiantly would. One eye was a golden bronze that reminded me of a new penny. The other eye was an electric blue that made you have goosebumps.

I couldn't control myself so I blurted out, "Eyes are the gateway to the soul, and you have one of your soulmate's eyes. Maybe instead of using your eyes, follow your heart. It might lead you to your soulmate."

Seraphina was in a pink princess ball gown. Her long black hair complimented the sparkly pink gown. Her family had come from Japan, her father had been saving her her gown for ages. In her family, this was something that decided the whole life of a person. It was excepted that whomever was going out in the whole, that they had to find their soulmate. It was frowned upon if you didn't. You were supposed to keep looking if you didn't find then. Then after about 5 years or so, you would have someone of your parents choice to be your temporary mate. They were never right for you. Seraphina was extremely afraid. I could see it in her eyes. Her left eye was an ocean blue, and her right eye was a deep chocolatey brown. There were tears forming.

"Oh, Luce, I don't know what to say. You're one of the best people I know and you deserve everything good. You're going to find your soulmate on the first day, I can feel it. Your soul is pure and you deserve the world." Seraphina exclaimed.

"No, I really don't, if anything you should because you're the kindest person I know." I said blushing.

"Alright guys enough of this blubbery." Katherine said annoyed, "We gotta get to the choosing ceremony right quick."

We got into Katherine's BMW and drive off to one of the most important nights of our life.
