The ride to the ceremony put us all on edge. We were all so eager to find out where we would our other half.

We would all soon figure out what place would determine the rest of our lives. The ballroom where the ceremony took place looked like something out of a fairy tale. Over a two thousand people were there. There were twelve long tables that were reserved for all of the 18 year olds. there were round tables that sat twelve people at them that were surrounding the long tables. Strings of christmas lights were strung at the top of the mansion. We were seated with the kids from our town. Once we all got settled in, the director of travels began her speech.

"Welcome, Welcome!" she announced, "Today is the 900th annual choosing ceremony. This is the day that well set you on your path for the rest of your life, now let us announce your placements.".

It took several hours to announce my towns placements. People from other cities were placed in completely different countries. People were being sent to St. Petersburg, Paris, New Delhi, and many more places that I've already forgotten. Apparently the test that we took was supposed to tell them where we might find our mate, which again, is total bullshit. Katherine's name was called, she stood up with anticipation.

"Katherine Marche, you are being sent to London, Britain."

Kat made a sigh of relief, "I thought i was going to be sent to a third world country, or something"

"Seraphina Gabriel, you are being sent to Tokoyo, Japan"

Ser made a flustered response, "WhAt! My parents left that place, and now I'm being sent back! This is a catastrophe!"

"Luce Aiko, your results were inconclusive. You are being sent on several destinations that include: Paris, France - New York City, USA - Mexico City, Mexico - Sydney, Australia and through all of Denmark.".

I couldn't even think. My results were inconclusive, this was going to be a 5 year long Search. My mind went completely blank until my eyes locked with a boy that was staring at me from the table across from me. I noticed something peculiar, both of his eyes were the same color.
