Love doesn't demand to be loved back, but
it doesn't mean it exists to be taken for granted.

Kaira's POV

I parked the car and rushed inside the building while impatiently waiting for the elevator to come down. Many thoughts were running through my mind and making me feel restless. I sighed when the elevator door got opened. I adjusted my dupatta and rushed inside.

I got out of the elevator and looked down at the address Yuvraaj sent me. He refused to come to Big Yellow Door cafe and now here I am searching his house in this weird building that was older than all of our ages combined. I finally stopped in front of one door and adjusted the belt of my backpack. I took a deep breath and exhaled as I raised my hand and knocked on the door.

I should have told Ayaan but then, I like being a hero, right? I hope this goes well and I don't frustrate anyone. Yuvraaj opened the door with unpleasing expressions and moved back into the room while hanging me there. I frowned while not liking his rude attitude but walked inside after fixing my expressions.

I moved my gaze around the room. It was too small and didn't have much stuff. Just one stove on one side along with very few utensils while one bed on the other. Yuvraaj was standing in front of the window where his bags laid. I sighed and pushed the door close, careful enough to not close it. I don't trust anyone but Ayaan. That's all I have to say.

"How did you find this place?" I asked while standing at some distance away from him. He sighed and looked back. "This is owned by one of my friends. He was generous enough to let me live for some days," Yuvraaj said. I nodded and looked around.

"Listen," he called again and I moved my gaze back to him. "I'm sorry about however I acted," he said in a low voice while sounding genuine. I shook my head. "It was my fault so I am sorry," I said and he sighed again.

"Sit, I won't harm you in any way. Not because my brother will kill me later but I am not that person I became yesterday," he said and stuffed his hands into his track's pocket.

"I was just frustrated with Avni's topic," he said again and I could see him gritting his teeth. I just kept noticing him carefully. He moved one hand from his hair while making them a mess.

"She told me about her arranged thing sometime back but I still asked her out that day. I was still furious but I thought that's because I haven't seen her in days or weeks," He said while moving back and forth in the space before the window. He chuckled and shook his head while I kept watching him.
