Kaira's POV
The next few days went by with me being on my ego trip. Ayaan made his attempts to mend things with me but after talking to him that day I went straight to Zoya's place. I was gotten comfortable with her now and rather than a boss, I started seeing her as my friend.
She heard me whining about Ayaan every other day and just smiled at it. I remember she once said, don't take him for granted if you love him truly because once he is gone you'll regret this time. She held some sort of pain in her voice that I didn't get at that time, I never asked her about it nor I followed what she said. I spent more of my time with Zoya, and Rishi. But I still didn't feel the comfort the other people offered.
My novel was in progress but there remained a lot of work. It was draining but I loved it. I would spend nights with owls and days with sparrows as I wanted to get it done fast and I was getting there. Rishi would help me now and then while giving his inputs. I was happy but not happiest as I missed him. Ayaan's fame came with tons of rumours. Mostly about him and Shaina. His newly formed fanbase was shipping them together. Even though social media wasn't high that time, I still would hear it or read it. That was pissing me off and making me worst.
I was drifting away from Ayaan as I refused to speak with him or anyone that was related to him. That was how I have always been but I just didn't show it before because everything was going according to my liking. I was walking out of the office one evening when I heard Avni calling me. I moved back to see her walking towards me with a wide smile. She is one from the Ayaan Fanclub so I know why she is here. I kept watching her with a plain face until she reached me.
"Are you here to talk about him?" I asked. She smiled. "No, to tell you about Yuvi and me," she said and held my hand as she dragged me along with her.
"Where are you taking me? I don't want to go anywhere as I don't trust you," I kept whining but she just glared at me and ignored my whins. She pushed the yellow door and pulled me in. I moved my gaze around and was furious to not see him around.
She moved me to the table and got seated while asking me to take my usual seat. I sighed and got seated. "What is it?" I asked in a plain voice. She smiled.
"Yuvi and I are together and he is back in the band," she declared and I raised my eyebrows. "Seriously? What happened overnight?" I asked. She shrugged.
