(Thx to @Electrothedoggo for giving me this amazing idea! Anyways, onto the X reader- Also, in this AU u already graduated from High School & ur also 17)

One of my Middle School Friends told me about this place called, "Daniel & Gamers" Seemed like a rip-off of Dave & Busters but I didn't want to complain about a silly name. I put on my favorite hoodie, pants, shoes, & headphones to use as a necklace (You know, leaving your headphones on your shoulders & not on ur head)

I call her, " Oi, you gonna drop me off or are you just going to let me drive there? Also, are you going to be there?" 

"Oh thank heavens no! I want you to go by yourself! I got a few more job interviews to attend." She informs me

"Still looking for a job for your family? God you're hopeless." I remind her

"I know I know but, there still must be hope right?" She replies

"Fine, see you at your apartment." I respond"

"Alrighty! See ya soon!" 

I hang up & drive over to the arcade.

"Hey, can I get one of the Rhythm Game tickets? I have my ID here." I tell the worker at the counter

"Sure kiddo, have fun." He replies

"Thanks dude." I reply

"Also, watch out for Kapi. He's a pro at that thing I swear." He warns me

I simply ignore him because I don't care of I lose honestly.

I go into the room then see the most handsome thing that a cat-creature could be.

He wore 3 ear piercings, one of those TikTok hoodie things, a rope around this pants, blue shoes, & little yellow-orange boxes for the strings of his hoodie.

"Hey new gamer!" He called

"H-Hi 'Kapi'" I shook in embarrassment

"Hey kiddo! There's no need to be scared of me! I'll go easy on you have you don't mind!" He comforts me

"T-Thank you Kapi." I thank him

"Mhm! A bit of some training never hurts anyone right?" He jokingly says

"W-Wait! I.. I want to make bets for the first few rounds!" I told him

"Oh? You're a little Daring demon aren't ya? Haha, alright!" He accepts my challenge

"If you lose, you have to give me your phone number!" I was slowly gaining confidence during each conversation

"And I win, you have to go on a date with me!" Kapi boasts

"I-I" My face was as red as a tomato at this point.

"Game on Kapi!"

"Game on! But first, what should I call you?"

"Oh, you can just call me Y/N."

"Well then Y/N, Game on broski!" 

~ 4 hours later ~

"*Huff* *Puff* Well.. I guess.. You up for the date Kapi?" I remind him

"Sure.. Man. Even that got me tired! You're pretty good already!" He congratulates me

I take his hand & He drives me to a fancy diner. I lay my head on his lap, but I could still feel his blush from his legs

"Is someone red?"

"S-Shut up!"

~30 minutes later~

"Well, we're here my little kitten!" 

"S-Stop.. Not in public Kapi!"

"Haha! I'm just messing with you! But I'm still up for giving you my phone number."

After around 15 minutes of talking & eating, we go over to my apartment & cuddle. My apartment was pretty clean, luckily that was a great thing for Kapi.
