Chapter 4 - Charlize

I was rushing to school and then I saw it in the distance. Blue Hawks Middle School, was a big school compared to many others around. It had at least over 1500+ students at was 3 stories high and with a cafeteria and big outside area. The only reason I was able to go to such a great school was because of a friend. He was a really great friend and I felt bad for him for leaving him for a few days. He must be worried about me. I hear the recess bell ring in the distance, which meant that if I'm quick enough I can probably find him in the crowds, even if it's not likely to happen. Because I need to check in and get a late slip. Then I have to go to my classroom and hand it to my teacher which was something I did not want to do, but I had to anyways. As I arrive on the school grounds and start walking to the main office, and then I see him. It was HIM. Rowan Harvest. He was going to toward inside, he was probably going to the library because he is sorta a nerd. But then again I'm a much bigger nerd than him in comparison. I start to jog to catch up to him. When I was close enough I called out his name to get his attention.

Charlize: Rowan!

(Rowan stop mid-step and looks around)

Rowan: Charlize! Where have you been?!

Charlize: I've been somewhere...

Rowan: Where exactly? I've been worried about you when I realized you were gone!

Charlize: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Can we talk later? I need to sign in and get my late slip so the office knows I'm here and I don't get another missing email from the principal.

Rowan: Oh right, yeah yeah. Go ahead I'll wait for you.

( Charlize walks in and signs into the office, almost right after that the bell rang. So they walked to the classroom together)

Rowan: Can't you tell me where you've been?

Charlize: I can't talk about it, I've been told not to.

Rowan: Fine I won't ask anymore. Oh hey... wanna come to my house since your back? My mom has been dying to go out and shop but doesn't have anyone else besides me to go and I don't want to go and shop with her unless I have a friend.

Charlize: Yeah sure, I don't have any plans this week so sure!

Rowan: Great! My mom will be happy to hear this, does your mom mind if you go?

Charlize: She doesn't care as long as I'm home before dark.

Rowan: I'm excited to go because I finally have something to do today!

(Few hours later and when school is over)

Charlize: Thanks for letting me come with you, Mrs. Harvest.

Mrs. Harvest: The pleasures all mine. Say... are you looking for new clothes?

Charlize: No? I'm not right now anyway.

Rowan: Mommmm, why do you have to pester Charlize?

Charlize: It's alright Rowan, your moms just excited to shop with us.

Mrs. Harvest: What do you kids want? We have all afternoon to shop and do fun things!

Rowan: Can we get ice cream or something to eat at the mall?

Mrs. Harvest: Alright Honey, what about you Charlize?

Charlize: Oh no, I'll get whatever Rowan's getting...

(They arrive at the mall)

Mrs. Harvest: We here~! Alright, before we go I want to cover some ground rules. You two must stay together when we split up and we'll meet in the cafeteria at 3:00. Don't go anywhere sketchy and don't talk to strangers. And don't do anything that'll get you into trouble got it?

Charlize: Yes Mrs. Harvest

Rowan: Yes Mom.

Chapter 4 ~ Ending
