There were a lot of things that Wren Kelley hated.
For one, Wren Kelley hates the stupid color pink. She didn't know why femininity had to be associated with the color pink, nor did she understand why men forbade themselves from liking the color. Wren hated the color pink and all of the undertones it carried of the ridiculous standards of society.
She also hated the color red - she had seen to much red in her lifetime, and it would forever stain her hands.
Wren Kelley liked the color green. She knew that everyone associated with the color green with jealousy, but to Wren it was the freshness of springtime, kind of like the promise of a new day. She supposed that was the Demeter in her, the peaceful hopes of better days and sweet flowers.
Then, of course, there was the sole fact that she was a daughter of Demeter. As the daughter of Demeter, Wren was supposed to be a simple girl who enjoyed things like gardening and grass and grain. According to most of the campers, she was supposed to be this peaceful, altruistic girl who hated to fight and would rather braid dandelions into peoples' hair.
Wren Kelley was selfish, short-tempered, and had an affinity for weapons instead of plants.
She hates the number eight - she believes that nothing that comes in eights is ever good. For example, spiders - spiders are nasty. There were eight hotdogs in a pack, and that was self explanatory itself. Not to mention octagons - those are just fucking weird.
Then there was the Second Great Prophecy, and that was just a bad omen wrapped in a blanket of crazy eight's.
But if there was one thing that Wren Kelley really hated... it was Perseus fucking Jackson.
Gods, everything about him succeeded in infuriating her beyond belief. He showed up at Camp Half-Blood and everything instantaneously went to shit. Her friends died, her cabin was destroyed, she was plunged into a full-fledged war.
Not that it was all his fault - kid just had bad timing, or something.
Suddenly traumatic experiences form her childhood are coming to light and proving to be a hell of a lot more important that the simple farm accidents she grew up thinking them to be. Wren Kelley finds herself playing a prominent role in preventing the end of the world on two different fronts: Mother Nature trying to wipe out the demigod race, and the Romans trying to wipe out the Greeks.
And the best of it all, Wren has to do it all with Percy Jackson.

my lovely readers... yes I am back with another story because I AM annoying.as usual, all credits go to Rick Riordan for all original concepts, anything you recognize, all things borrowed - I just own Wren Kelley and her original story lines.
this book is going to delve into more serious topics that I have only really brushed upon in my other stories! it will include: ptsd and trauma focus, sexual themes, mentions of suicide/self harm, and mentions of the implied Luke Castellan/camper grooming.
but of course... get ready for a fun time.
love always,
LEIGH
