Selfish

Alex's POV

I was in the middle of changing when Emma walked in. "Hey love"

"Hey, Alex?"

"Yes?" I say while standing in front of her and putting my head in her neck with my arms around her.

"I think we should break up," She said looking down but I keep smiling.

"You're funny," I said and kissed her cheek, but she pushed me away.

"No, Im being serious Alex," she said and I looked at her confused.

"What w-why? did I do something wrong?" I asked and she looked away "Look at me, Emma"

"I-I just think we're going on two different paths, with me going to Atlanta and you going back to London. I-I just think we should take a break to think about things" she said quietly, playing with her fingers.

"To figure things out? What the fuck are you talking about?" I ask "We're only going to be gone for a week Emma its not like I'm going away and never coming back," I said and she looked at her shoes again.

"It's about zack, isn't it? You still like him" I said while pulling away from her and turning away.

"I do not like him!" she argued

"So why do you wanna break up with me?" Is asked still facing away from her and towards the door.

"I just-"

"You know what, Fuck you, Emma." I interrupted her and ran out the bedroom door and out towards the living room where I saw everyone looking towards me but my eyes locked on Zack's guilty face staring at me with sorry eyes, that's when my ears started ringing and I saw red.

The time my vision cleared I felt two people pushing me back while I felt vibrations but heard no sound. but what I saw broke my already broken heart.

It was Emma on her knees next to Zach checking on him. I fight against the person grip who's holding me back, The sounds are slightly coming back but I don't care as all I feel is burning heartbreak in my chest that wants to pounce on an already injured Zack. I grunt as I try to fight against their grip until I manage to but I end up on my knees on the grass with that burning still there I punch the ground as hard as I can until tears block my vision, I lean my head against the grass with my fists on either side of my head. I began to just let the tears fall

After a little while I'm all out of tears I just sit there until I feel a hand on my shoulder.

I began to stand up whilst shrugging the hand off me.

Once up I ignored the calls of my name and proceeded to my car. That was until I heard her voice.

"Alex wait..." she pleaded, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I don't understand how people are ok with hurting some they once said they loved" I said and took a pause before shaking my head "but now I do... it's because there selfish"

I proceeded to my car and drive off with a squeal of my tires.
