It was finally the first day of school and I haven't had a proper conversation with Izumi since that night. However on my way to school I did bump into a familiar ash blond "how's it going Bakugo or should I call you Kacchan?" Bakugo looks back at me "oh hey Y/N. Just call me whatever. Oh yeah don't tell anyone I said this but... Thanks. For saving me that's all. See ya at school dumbass." She then walks off "classic Kacchan." I then see Deku walk past me "hey Deku been a bit." She looks up blushing "u-um hey Y/N. So what where you and Kacchan talking about?" I smirk "oh~ is someone jealous?" She blushes more "No! Just curious." I then walk forward and turn on my heel "it's a secret." I was in a bit of a playful mood and I wanted to get back at Izumi for ignoring me these past few days "see ya at school!" I then sprout mosquito wings which I almost forgot about admittedly. "Hmm these things are pretty handy." I then land outside UA "but it's not my type." I then return the quirk as red streams leave my body and I then enter the building. As I enter the room I sit down only a few people their as I just sit by myself.
Later the while class was finally here and it's good to see Deku already making friends but you know Bakugo ignoring everyone she sees as extra. But not long in Eraserhead walks in. I remember him because we had an encounter before. "It took you 8 seconds to shut up. That ain't gonna cut it. If you came here to make friends you can pack up and leave." (Sips juice box) "now that that's out of the way out these on and meet me outside." We all one by one go and change as we head outside "what are we doing here won't we miss orientation." Aizawa explains "one of UA's selling points is that teachers have free reign over their classrooms. Here we are not tethered to tradition now let's begin. Bakugo what was your ball toss record in middle school?" She steps up "67 meters." He tosses her a ball "now with your quirk. Stay in the circle and do whatever you want." She throws the ball with a simultaneous explosion "DIE!" She then turns to me holding her bicep "how was that Y/N!?" I nod in approval. Aizawa holds up a device "762 meters. You will be performing a series of test to gauge your potential." A pink girl jumps up and down "sounds fun." Aizawa glares "sounds fun? Then how about this those deemed no potential will be expelled." Then a round faced girl steps up "that's no fair you can't expell anyone on the first day!" Just the words "no fair" is enough to piss me off and Bakugo sees the knowing what I've been through "hey girl. Listen nothing is fair. Landslides, floods, wildfires, blood thirsty villains, power hungry villains, and even the natural prejudice of the world which is determined by your quirk. It may seem unfair but trust me nothing is going to be fair. Ever." Aizawa pats my shoulder "stand down kid. But he is right. It is our jobs as heros to combat that unfairness. And I've seen my fair share of it. From natural born greatness to deadbeats. But then there are the in-between. "The Underdogs" the ones who stand up despite the odds. Now let's begin." I feel a tear about to escape because of what he said but I fight it. "I'm gonna do this with my own strength!" First the 100 meter dash "focus." I run full sprint "4.6 sec." The machine beeps as I beat Kaminari who had eight "aw come on man." Next was the grip test. I take a deep breath "total concentration." I then hear the machine beep and was just next to this guy Shoji as we where tied "nice." After a few other exercises which I did great in I might add was finally the ball throw. After the round face got infinity it pretty much became pointless. I grabbed Kacchan's hand "hey! If ya wanted to hold my hand ya should ask first." I look her in the eyes and smile "noted I just wanna say thanks for letting me borrow your quirk." I then step up "wait what!?" I then throw the ball with all my physical power plus a full power Bakugo special. Aizawa's device beeps "1'002 meters." I then tap Kacchan's shoulder giving it back "had to at least show off my quirk once." As everyone begins asking about it which I dodge with clever All Might style retorts. Which I was running out of answers and was getting nervous before Bakugo stepped "BACK OFF! Can't ya see he's uncomfortable!" I whisper to the shorter female "thanks." She blushes a little "can't let Deku get to far ahead." Speaking of which I wonder how Deku's finger is doing she's probably fine and probably done worse.
Afterwards a long boring day finally came everyone's favorite class "basic hero training" and none other than All Might would be teaching us. And speak of the devil he came through the door in his iconic silver age costume "I'M ENTERING THE DOOR LIKE A NORMAL PERSON!" - "at least I know what the oversized door is for." After a short intro All Might holds out a card "today you will be doing "Combat Training!"" And to say the least I was kinda hyped.
