Class was dismissed and you grabbed your stuff to try and sneak out before they could say anything, moving swiftly through the large crowd of students. Soon as you thought you had reached the archway of the door, you felt an arm on your shoulder.

"Trying to sneak away? It's like you want to miss out and stay in with me." They said laughing as they brought you back to the front row of the class.

"Technically you'd be missing out too, why are you and Levi cracking down on us, Professor?" You replied back, purposefully using the word to be a dick.

"Because exams are coming up and I'm too lazy to do a remedial class, Ms. L/N." They chuckle with the same tone as you.

You cursed again with a slight roll in your eyes and sat down with a slump, putting your head down to try and nap the detention time away.

"Ah ah ah..no nap time in here doll, you can help me grade and figure out my lesson plans if you like? Unless you want a ton of work." They said with a slick smile.

You rolled your eyes once more only to end up smiling back because they really could have gave you work for the next 2 hours. You sat there for the first 30 minutes, grading papers and correcting things, you felt like a real teacher and actually enjoyed fixing the problems.

You handed Hange back the stack of papers, leaning over to watch them work on upperclassman lesson plans.

"Enjoying this?" They asked as they felt your presence still over them.

"Possibly, definitely not majoring in Biology or anything." You snapped with a giggle, watching Hange's face turn from a smile to them poking their cheek forming a smile, like they were stopping themself.

"I was asking genuinely, you're one of my top students but yet you miss my class the most, you really could take my position if you wanted to, what's stopping you?"

"You.." Is what you wanted to say, you were fighting with your head day in and day out, trying to convince yourself that they were being nice, a closer friend, anything!

"Maybe it's the smoking, my tolerance is higher than usual these days.." You spoke, backing away while Hange spun their chair around to face you.

"Your ears twitch when you lie you know."

"They do?" You replied quickly, placing a hand up to your ear.

"No, but now I know for sure you're still lying to me."

"Still?"

Only an hour had passed, and it was one more to go, you didn't think you would last standing this close to them, with no one in this hall, you could only hold up the charade for so long.

"That night, I asked that question in a similar fashion, you told me that it as just that kinda week and I completely understood it, then I asked again last week when you left as soon as you were finish taking the quiz, you told me it was that alcohol and now it's the weed, which one is it?" They asked, their head tilting slightly to the side, their tone was serious but it seemed something was up.

"It's-"

"Look at me."

You hesitated for a moment before locking eyes with Hange, hoping that they couldn't read the freeway of filthy thoughts seizing through your mind.

A familiar feeling surrounded the room, the same energy that night Hange caught you staring at them, this time the tension grew thicker, they can't know..how could they know?

"You've just told me everything I needed to know, your eyes speak the truth doll.." The nickname burned in your ears. You were standing right in front of them speechless, stuck in an infatuated trance, they had caught on.
