All gathered within the grand halls of the Black Summer manner on the English Countryside, for finger sandwiches and soups and a late afternoon tea. It was a day where everyone could be in everyone's business without raising suspicions.Sirius hated them, she silently realized she hated a lot when it came to the Black family. She wondered if she enjoyed anything her family did.
She sighed as slicked back her brother's black hair, pinching the long strands back into a small ponytail at the nape of his neck.
"It smells like feet," Regulus huffed, referring to the gel the girl had coated his head in.
"Just like you then."
"I do not smell like feet," Regulus snapped indignantly, "I smell fruity like pineapples, thank you very much!" He crossed his arms over his chest in annoyance.
"Acidic?"
"A mango then?"
Sirius shrugged her slim shoulders, "I don't know, all I know is that you smell like neither."
"Then what do I smell like?"
Sirius scrunched her nose as she wiped the residue off her palms. "How am I supposed to know?"
"Well, you have a nose."
"Yea but I'm not a bloody dog am I?"
"Could have fooled me."
Sirius gaped and smack her brother on the shoulder with a hairbrush. "Stinky little twat!"
"Sirius Black," her mother's voice was sharp and low as she swept into the room. "We don't use that sort of language. Next time I will wash it out with soap!"
"Of course mother," Sirius quickly ducked her head to hide how hard she rolled her eyes. Regulus smirked lightly at his sister's expression.
Walburga quickly ushered her youngest from his seat and motioned for Sirius to take his place. Sirius did so without complaint. She enjoyed it when her mother did her hair.
She was careful and caring when it came to her daughter's sensitive scalp.
She softly pulled the pins from Sirius's hair and took a moderate hand full of gel. Sirius scrunched her nose and Regulus snorted from somewhere behind her.
