Depressing-ish Poetry I wrote when I was overemotional

Am I seriously this mess?

Always misunderstanding, mistaking the cues

I wonder if it's worth it to care

To try

Just why

Everybody else seems to remember the diamond rings and golden things

But I get stuck in the bogs of my mind

Where every dark thought I have will in time

Seep through my skin and into my heart

That's why the pain happened to start

So even though I say I'm fine

You'll see I'm rather shattered inside.

New poem below:

I cannot sleep

You cannot see

She cannot talk

He cannot weep

They cannot walk

We are not free

But there's a cure for this oppression

Found only by those who befriend their depression

The shackles can open

The cages can lift

The world is your oyster, opportunity your gift

But there are those who are still alone

So put pen to paper,

Imagination to stone

Set the words to guide them home

Remember friend, you are never alone

Yeah I was feeling angsty when I wrote these. If you want to use my words for some reason, ask me first and then credit/tag me when/if you put them in. THANKS!
