Outside I can't fight my fear
Rain gasped as the impact with the hard ground pushed the air out of her lungs with the addition of Jin's weight falling on her owing to the shared momentum. Jin rolled off of her immediately, finally letting her catch her breath. They still held each other's hand in a tight grasp. Sitting up Rain winced as Jimin came into her vision. Letting go of Jin's hand she flexed her numb fingers as Jimin pulled her into a hug.
"Where the hell were you?!! The portal was closing and neither of you were here yet! If Hobi hadn't stopped me I would have gone back...", he breathed into her neck.
"Yeah I saw the portal closing and Jin hadn't come yet so I had to go get him before it closed", Rain answered through heavy breaths.
"Yeah sorry about that I had to give my word to the lawyer that I won't be back for quite a while but I'm thankful we had already made someone the CEO, at least I'm relieved that the company is in safe hands", Jin said as he sat up.
Jimin pulled back and was about to get up when Rain stopped him. He had a streak of blood on his cheek but when Rain swiped her finger across it, it came off. Puzzled Jimin looked at her before noticing her bleeding neck.
"RAIN! YOU ARE BLEEDING!!", Jimin shrieked.
Jin immediately scooched to her side before removing his handkerchief and tying it around her neck.
"How you always get hurt is beyond my knowledge", Jin sighed in concern.
"Now will you keep sitting there for the entire day or will you care to get your asses up and move?", Yoongi grumbled.
Looking past Jimin, Rain saw all the others looking at them with concern but relief etched on their features. Rain smiled at them before getting up and dusting herself.
Glancing around her she saw that they were at the edge of a cliff which dropped right into silver clouds. It emerged from a dense dark forest that stretched on into the skyline. The skies were a dull midday blue. The entire place somehow seemed gloomy, as if life was sucked right out of it.
"There is no form of vibrant life other than the plants and if you all haven't already noticed, our powers aren't in their strongest form as they should have been. Something is sucking the life right out of everything", Tae announced. He was crouching on the ground with his palm lying flat on the forest floor.
"Yeah I felt that and it also means Hobi won't be able to fly", Namjoon confirmed with Hoseok who gave him a solemn nod.
"Wait Hobi can fly?! What about the others?", Rain questioned.
"Yeah and I am the only one who can", Hobi replied, his face turning a tad pinker as Rain just stared at him astonishment.
"So we'll have to go through the forest?", Ashlene articulated everyone's thoughts.
