My legs were tired but I was so nervous that I continued to pace the room,
I didn't want to stop no matter how many times a doctor came in to tell me to sit down. I couldn't sit still I was too worried,
'Did Kaede get caught? Why did I ask her this I put her at risk...'
The door slammed open causing me to jump,
"KOKICHI WOKE UP!"
Kaede bounded into the room like a child entering a theme park
"W-what?!"
I didn't want to get my hopes up in case Kaede was lying to me just to cheer me up.
"You heard me you goober,
Kokichi is awake. I saw his eyes open when I checked on him. Miss Tsumiki is watching him right now."
She said her voice exadurating her excitement.
I didn't know how to react,
I felt warm tears roll down my cheeks,
Warmth dusted my cheaks as Kaede wipes them away.
"Thank you, for everything Kaede."
I softly say as I pull her into a hug,
Thank you.
(Kaede and Shuichi do not have romantic feelings for each other, kaede is already currently in a relationship with Maki and Shuichi is acearo)
