~Isolde's Point of View~

Not long after I met Damon in the office, we left the Russian compound after making sure no one was left. We were able to get a hold of almost all their weapons, ammo, bombs, etc. Not only did we gain more weapons, we also gained a lot of valuable information.

All of the papers, maps, contracts, you name it were laying out on meeting table in one of the American's compounds. Me, Damon, our fathers, Elijah, Dante, and a few other higher ups were seated around the wooden table. There hadn't been many words spoken for the five minutes we had been seated. All focus was on whatever paper the person was holding. Mine and Damon's fathers were looking over a contract Alexander signed with a smaller gang. Damon and Elijah were looking over shipments the Russians had received and sent out. I am trying to figure out why they had a map of one of my compounds out in Spain while Dante was trying to hack into their security system to figure out exactly why Mia was there. While scanning over the map of my compound, I quickly realized it was the one located in Madrid, aka our biggest one. Not only were there hundreds of soldiers located there, there were also many that were in training. Not many weapons were kept there other than the ones for training sessions and the ones people keep on them at all times. While there were many still in training, there were also some highly trained assassins there too that helped teach the newbies.

"YES," Dante yelled out of no where. All of us take our attention off the work in front of us to look over at Dante staring at the screen while fist bumping the air. A smile creeps across my face as I watch him celebrate whatever he accomplished. He starting bouncing in his seat with anticipation when all of a sudden his shoulders slumped and his arms dropped back to his side. The smile that once painted his face, soon turned into a frown.

"What is it," I asked, a frown on my face as well. I pushed myself up from my seat and started making my way towards Dante. Peeking over his shoulder, all I saw was a black screen on his computer. "Did it die or something?"

"No it is definitely still alive," he mumbles while clicking the escape button where it brings him to his home screen. He sighs with his head hanging before shaking his head. "They deleted the footage. I can try and go in to recover it, but you might have to talk to Mia face to face about this."

"Fuck," I sigh. "Keep trying to recover that footage, but I'll talk to Mia." Now that Dante had spilled that information, I couldn't focus anymore. After deciding I couldn't do anymore work, I made my way out of the room without another word. No one questioned it surprisingly. With my heels being the only noise in the hallway, my minded whirled with different thoughts. My first priority was making sure my compound was safe and prepared if there was an attack. It could be detrimental if the Russian's attack was successful. Not only were my compounds a worry, Mia was as well. Something did not seem right with the contract and her. She never once showed she was hiding something from me. When the sound of footsteps behind me pierced my ears, I shoved all my thoughts to the back of my mind. Glancing over my shoulder, I roll my eyes when I see Damon's figure.

"So you just follow me everywhere now," I speak up with my back still to him.

"I guess you could say that," he chuckles. My own smile makes its way to my face, but I quickly wipe it off when my thoughts come back.

"Do you really think Mia would go behind my back like that?" When those words left my mouth, tears threatened to spill out. The reality of this being true was just now starting to get to me. I had known Mia for years. We went through everything together, so thinking that she would do something like this tears my heart in half.

"I think you should talk to her first before you start assuming things." Damon's arm slithers around my waist. "Just give her a chance." Leaning down, he softly kissed my hair. We continue walking down the hallway. Once we finally make it to our cars, I was just about to slip into my car when Damon's voice stopped me. "I want to take you somewhere tonight."
