Time skip- At the village in the hospital

"Is he going to be okay?" Asked Shikamaru for the fifteenth time. "How many times do I have to tell you Shikamaru I don't know?!" Shouted a frustrated Asuma. Shikamaru would not stop asking if Naruto was ok ever since Tsunade took Naruto into the hospital room. She told everyone to stay out of the room while she worked. That was until he came out of the room.

She sighed then said, "He okay and he just woke up I can allow you Shikamaru to see him but do not spend more than an hour in there you understand?"

"Yes Hokage-sama," he replied. He then quickly ran into the room Naruto was in.

"Damn I've never seen Shikamaru run in that fast before." Ino said. Team 10 had decided to stay with Shikamaru until Naruto woke up.

"Probably because of Naruto," Choji said in between the chewing of chips.

"Choji do you ever stop eating. Honestly I don't know how you think your going to get a girl they will all just laugh at you and call you fatso." Ino remarked. But then she gasped when she realized what she just said.

"C-Choji I d-didn't mean it you have to believe me." Ino quickly said while waving her hands in the air in surrender.

"Oh I believe you alright." He started sarcastically. His hitai was covering his eyes so you could see a shadow. "I believe you think I can't get a girl because you think I'm 'fat'. Well let me show what a 'fatso' can do. Ino quickly started running out the door with Choji following behind.

Of you were inside the hospital you could hear a shout saying "HUMAN BOULDER" with a loud scream after. Asuma sighed at the children.

"When do they ever learn." He said as he toke out another cigarette and lit it. He let a puff of smoke and sighed once more when he realized he would have to stop the two.

(I'm sorry for my poor attempt to be funny)

Shikamaru entered the hospital room to see a blonde haired boy already awake and looked like he was waiting for him.

"Hello Naruto, how are you," asked a nervous Shikamaru.

"Good I guess." He responded. There was a tense silence before Shikamaru decided to speak up once again.

"So how are you feeling?" He asked. When Naruto didn't respond Shikamaru could no longer hold back his tears. He let them fall freely from his face to the floor.

"Naruto." He continued, "Naruto I am so sorry that that I couldn't help you. That I couldn't do anything to save you from that bastard Uchiha. W-What type of boyfriend would let their lover be raped! I'm sorry Naruto I so sorry!"

Naruto stared wide eyed at Shikamaru, never in his entire life had he seen the Nara break down, let alone show so many emotions. It broke his heart to see him like that, so he got up from his hospital bed and though it still pained home a bit to walk he made his way over to Shikamaru and hugged.

Shikamaru obviously surprised by this action immediately grabbed the collar of Naruto's hospital gown and cried uncontrollably while Naruto whispered sweet nothings into his ear telling him over and over again that's it's ok until he fell asleep.

(Outside Naruto's hospital room)

"Well I never thought I would see the day Shikamaru actually cried." Said Asuma. The Sarutobi had been on a team with him and not once did the Nara ever show so many emotions at one time.

Ino after coming inside after receiving her pummeling from Choji had also witnessed the unfold of the scene. "Damn I really need to get a boyfriend so he can hug me like that!" Shouted a desperate Ino. Asuma just chuckled he beside her. Ino would always be Ino.

Hello people sorry for the short chapter I was really busy this weekend and I couldn't post this until now.

Anyway I want to say thank you to the person who encouraged me to continue to write. You are amazing thank you.

And also I've been thinking about writing a one-shot about Naruto having a sickness but that's after I finish this.
