„Shirowa didn't come to school again. She had never been sick.", he heard Akazawa say to Iwano. They were right. It had been almost a week and Shirowa was indeed never unwell. Masaru wasn't really friends with her but it was quite concerning, although Aizawa-sensei had told them everything was fine. That wouldn't stop the speculations though.
In their lunch break the made stop to get the school newspaper. And of course, Shijin would write about Kitsune and her brother, which they learned was actually the pro hero Yurei White. Although the article was more about speculations what her absence had to do with her brother and the incident last Friday. But something was getting his attention.
"Seems like Daji won't return that soon, but the question is, is it really that bad with such a dangerous quirk?"
Masaru ripped the newspaper in half and stormed down the halls. Iida and Kumokami called after him, but he didn't listen. He was just angry. The first person responsible for this he would see will be ripped apart just like that piece of paper.
Sadly, the first person he saw was Manabu. He grabbed her by the collar and slightly held her higher. Manabu was a rather short girl with black hair to her shoulders, big round glasses and bangs. It was bad luck that she was the first person from the school newspaper Masaru saw.
"What is that article about?!", screamed at her. People in the hallway looked strangely at them, but no one seemed like they wanted to interfere. Masaru normally wasn't someone to be so rough with someone, but this time his temper got the better of him. He hated that this reminded himself so much of his father.
"W-what article, Bakugou?", Manabu managed to say, her yellow eyes shone brightly. He saw she had activated her quirk to get out of this situation. It clicked inside of him and he let go. "I'm sorry, Manabu. You were the first reporter of the school newspaper I got to see after reading that bullshit." Manabu's eyes stopped glowing.
"You mean the article Shijin wrote right? I had nothing to do with it. Terasaki didn't want to bring it in but she must've smuggled it in. I'm sorry, I will speak to Terasaki about it."
Manabu Kaede
Quirk: Analysis. She can get a full analysis of people and situations in front of her while looking at them in three seconds without blinking. She can see possibilities to get out of situations or see results of questions, get an analysis of quirks and strengths and weaknesses. She has to write tests alone with Aizawa in a room, so she can't cheat with her quirk. When it activates her eyes glow.
Masaru nodded slowly. "Sorry again." "Don't worry." Manabu walked off as if nothing had happened. She was a rather calm and introverted girl, but in such situation, she can be very serious. He didn't know that Terasaki wasn't responsible for publishing it. Thank god he talked to Manabu. Although you couldn't call it talking really.
He sighed. He wasn't really friends with Shirowa. But being handled like that just because she had a quirk someone called dangerous. And trusting that guy more than their class mate was just pathetic he thought. He didn't even like that motherfucker. That smirk and attitude didn't sit right with him. And Shirowa didn't seem like she wouldn't know her quirk at all. Yurei White was the one who couldn't handle the nine tailed fox. Shirowa had seemed pretty calm when this had happened. He trusted her, but it didn't seem like others did.
To be honest, he hated things like this. Discrimination because of quirks. Just because you have a quirk which could be dangerous in certain situations it doesn't mean you just can be a villain or can't be a hero. Explosions or extreme strength could be dangerous too. Every quirk can be dangerous. So, this logic wouldn't even make sense. You just need to be familiar with it and as long as you have good intentions it shouldn't be a problem.
