SEVEN YEARS LATER...
PARIS, FRANCE

"IN ALL MY TRAVELS, FRANCE NEVER DISAPPOINTS." Klaus Mikaelson dramatically recounted standing under the moonlight in the lovely European country. He stood before a paralyzed bouncer at a nightclub in the city. His face was stoic since the minute Klaus stepped before him, stepping away from the filled line he previously stood at the end of. He was sure that he was growing more annoyed as Klaus began to bicker his ear off.

"And now, I find I'm physically drawn to the place." Klaus continued, the bouncer's eyes not fluttering a bit. It was difficult to distinguish annoyance from the usual grimace a man in his position would have. "As if locked in an orbit I'm helpless to alter."

Klaus turned to the left staring at the line he departed from not too long ago. "I suppose we're all satellites orbiting those we love."

He took a small 360 turn, ending up face-to-face again with the unfazed expression of the abnormally muscled man who stood a few inches above Klaus. He had dark hair and an equally dark beard.

"Recently, though, I'm left to orbit from afar." Klaus stared off to his left as he spoke, glancing back at the bouncer. "And to pass the time by dropping in on old acquaintances."

"Entre nous in 1928, the Gatineaux family and I had a little falling out." Klaus innocently grinned at the bouncer and he was standing only a foot away from him now. Their eyes locked on one another.

"I'd really like to put that to rest. So, if you'll just stand aside..." Klaus still carried a grin, waving his hand to the side, waiting for him to oblige to Klaus' demand, as for him, it wasn't a suggestion.

"You must have heard of me. Klaus le fou." Klaus flared his hand up in a dramatic manner. His smile was devious and humorous, and yet still didn't elicit any response. "Klaus le dement? Niklaus der mörder?"

"No? Nothing?" Klaus raised an eyebrow at the unwavering bouncer. Klaus had grown very irritated at how little excitement was coming from his attempt to scare the man. Klaus' lips raised into a smirk as the quick motion of his hand shoved itself into the bouncer's chest. He twisted it and ripped it out leaving the bouncer's body to fall limp.

Klaus turned with the sounds of gasps being heard from the occupied line, a woman screamed at the vastly horrendous sight of the bloody heart in Klaus's hand. Raised proudly like a trophy. Klaus lost the smirk on his face as he took a bite of the heart. The long line of people was taken back by the action.
