Everything Unravels

*8PM Chihiro's house. . . Chihiro's POV*

I stretch as I walk out of my room.. I still had yet to tell my father about Kokichi.. I was playing games with Chiaki in my room when my father called us down for dinner, I decided that was the best time to tell him. I look behind me to see a sleepy Chiaki following me as she yawned.. I was used to this and I just pat her head a bit, smiling. "You got this Chiaki. I know you're sleepy but.. it's dinner. You need to eat." I feel her nod from below my hand as we sit at the table, plates of food already in front of us.

My father smiles as he sits across from me. "So.. Chihiro.. Chiaki.. how was school?" He asked while starting to eat.. Chiaki was the first to start talking. "It honestly wasn't that bad.. Chihiro and I ate lunch together and we started talking about what went on with our day. Speaking of which.. Chihiro what did you say we had to tell your father again..?" She looked at me, her eyes glancing between me and my father.. I could tell she didn't forget but.. the way she said it sounded very convincing.

My dad looked at me with a confused expression. "What does she mean.. Chihiro?" He asked me, tilting his head. I swallowed what I had in my mouth and took a sip of water before clearing my throat. "T-This guy helped me out today while I was.. getting bullied and uhm.." I play with the bottom of my shirt a bit to calm my nerves. "H-He got in the way and took the beating for me.. I-I felt really bad but.. I-I thanked him and managed to get his name..!" I avert my gaze, looking down at my legs. "H-His name is K-Kokichi.." I said, and as soon as I did I heard my father choke, my head snapped towards him with a worried expression. "A-Are you okay dad..?!"

He gives me a nod and drinks some of his water, taking a deep breath once he finishes. I've never seen that happen before.. for once my father went from a calm facial expression to a panicked one.. he then grabbed my hands and looked at me. "S-Son uhm.. I.." I saw him swallow a breath before giving off a soft sigh. "That's the name of your brother... your *missing* brother.." I froze as he started explaining.

*Past time 3AM A hospital in Osaka, Japan. . . Taichi POV*

I held Sumire's hand, kissing her forehead as she was asleep, I mean it was understandable.. she had just given birth to our twin boys. I was proud of her.. our children came out beautifully. I walked over to where our kids were and gently kissed their heads.. we've already thought of names, Kokichi and Chihiro Fujisaki. I admired them.. smiling as a nurse walked in and bowed politely. "Mr.Fujisaki.. I understand you want to stay with your wife but visiting hours are over now." I looked away a bit. "A-Ah.. thank you for telling me." I bowed in response, grabbing my bags and kissing my wife on her head once more. "I'll be back later hun." I then pat my boys on the stomach.. walking out for the night to go to my car.

*smol time skip when he's at home*

I exited my car and walked to my door, opening it and walking inside, taking off my shoes and placing them next to the door before closing it. I let out a small yawn before heating up my lunch from earlier, eating it while watching TV, once I finished I cleaned everything up and went upstairs to my room.. I was alone in the house.. something I'm not very used too but.. oh well. I took a shower in the bathroom connected to my room and then got dressed into my pajamas, laying down and going to bed.. hopefully by tomorrow or the day after my wife would be discharged.

*Present time. . . 8:30 PM. . . Chihiro POV*

I looked at my father as he took a deep breath, drinking the rest of his water. "S-So.. I-I'm missing a twin.. b-but I bumped into him.." I tilt my head, slightly confused.

"Let me explain.. Two days later when your mom was discharged..."

*Past Towa City park. . . 12PM. . . Taichi POV*

I held a basket that had Kokichi inside in one hand.. and Sumire's hand in the other as she carried a basket that had Chihiro in it. We were going out for a walk in the park as we sat down to have a small food break. I smiled and pushed her hair into a ponytail, her hair wasn't that long but.. it was perfect for me to style. We put Kokichi and Chihiro down in front of us, giving them their bottles. *(AN: Mind you, they still babies-)* I smiled, eating the sandwiches Sumire made as I looked in the sky.. it started getting dark and windy.. meaning high chance of a storm, I of course sighed. "Honey, we should get going. It seems like it's going to rain." I look over as she nods, we made eye contact for a split second before looking back at to where our kids should be.. noticing that Kokichi was missing.. we started panicking as we picked Chihiro up.. we looked around and tried to hear for crying but we didn't hear anything. Sumire and I looked at each other with teary eyes.. I mean.. how did we lose our son that was only two days old. We felt like the worst parents ever.. but instead of getting wet we decided to run home and print out missing person posters of our son. I put Chihiro to bed and then started to call the police.. they helped us search for a week but.. to no avail were we able to find our missing child.. we felt hopeless.. and from that day on when Chihiro got older and asked when he was getting a sibling.. we told him we didn't plan on having any other children besides him.. it broke our hearts but, we couldn't let him know how we failed as parents when he was only two days old.

*Present time. . . 8:57PM. . . Chihiro POV*

I stare at my father in disbelief. He.. He lied to me my entire life saying that they didn't want another child.. but he also did it to protect me.. so I can't be that angry. "W-Why did you hide this from me Dad..?"
