"Shit! I'm in big trouble now. I need to find Koichi, maybe he can-" His sentence was cut short by a yell from the front yard. "See that shadow? That must from the rapist. Fire!" A wall of bullets started flying at Josuke, and he barely had enough time to call out Crazy Diamond. His fists quickly knocked away the projectiles in all directions before he fell down into the bush below, overwhelmed by the oncoming fire. He had no time to hesitate. Josuke started running through the backstreets, dodging the gunfire along the way. "He's running away! After him!"
The cops climbed into their cars and began chasing after the shadow. One cop car smashed into another. That car flipped over. Flames. The officer inside died. The other cop car violently skidded off the road and slammed into a house, blasting holes in the structure until it collapsed very dramatically. Another officer fell out of a car somehow. "Where did he go?"
The police aimed their searchlights past the wreckage looking for the shadowy figure. But there was no one in sight. "Call off the chase! Call it off! It's not worth it anymore, he's already taken many officers down!" "10-4." The cars pulled back and immediately retreated. Josuke watched in disbelief from inside a trash can. The units had left their fellow officers dead in the wreckage, and there was no saving them now.
"I can't believe how downhill they've gone since Gramps died." Josuke sighed and shook his head. "I've gotta find Koichi, I need to know what happened, and he's the only one I can really rely on to help me out here." Josuke jumped out of the trash can and continued down the street as the moon rose into full view.
