A Dose of Diamond Dust

Koichi is a well-meaning and understanding friend

"So you're telling me Okuyasu was in your house, forcefully made out with you, told you he stalked you for years, and told you he is an anime character? Sounds like you have a court case right there Josuke. He's gone full psycho if that's true. I don't really see why you need my help." Koichi set down the family tea set in front of their unexpected guest. Josuke quickly sipped some tea before beginning to speak. It was 10:50 at night.

"You don't understand Koichi, I don't have any proof that his advances were unwelcome... I almost fell for them. Those cops are crazy, they need hard proof for the case to even make it into the system. That's why I need you. I'm going to find Okuyasu and get to the bottom of this tomorrow, and I'll need some support." Koichi looked at Josuke nervously, and laughed.

"I'm really sorry Josuke, but I have a date with Yukako tomorrow and there's no way I can cancel with her looking forward to it." Josuke stared at Koichi coldly. "Damn, he's still with that bitch!" Josuke thought angrily. He was taken aback when thinking of Koichi, and of how Okuyasu somehow knew of Josuke's crush on him. Okuyasu had said that Koichi still liked him, but was this true? If so, then poor Koichi. Josuke had moved on from his old feelings. In his mind, all that mattered now was the incident with Okuyasu.

"Well anyway Josuke, you're free to stay the night if you like. Why are you here so late anyway?" Josuke gave a blank stare. "..." "..." "Hey thanks for the invitation, I think I'll take you up on that offer! You're a really pal you know, Koichi. Thanks a lot." Josuke ran upstairs to the guestroom as Koichi looked on in confusion. Josuke would have trouble sleeping that night with the sirens passing by each hour.
