"What your leaving? so what are you trying to say? Is this your way of breaking up with me?" Jase whimpered sadly.

She could tell that Jase was trying his best to hold back the tears now welling up in the corners of his eyes.

Rubys P.O.V

I finally brought myself to this heartaching moment telling Jase I was leaving. It felt like part of me was ripped in half. I tried not to feel guilty, but there was nothing for me here anymore. If I didn't leave I'd regret staying.

Alex had everything sorted for me, and I could enroll in a new high school when I got to Rainbow Falls. By the sounds of things my new life in Ireland would be too big a opportunity to past up. I was actually feeling excited about starting fresh. The only thing that was holding me back now was Jase and the building guilt I'm getting for leaving.

Rachael was sad I was leaving but glad that I was going to spend time with my dad and his family that I would eventually get to know. Maybe I should of had her here to back me up.

I'm just hoping that Jase will calm down and start to understand why I'm leaving. This is not about me not wanting him or some stupid excuse to break up with him, this is about me finding the other part of my hertiage. I still love Jase with all my heart. I think I always will love him.

Jason's P.O.V

I could hardly breathe, when the words came out of her mouth. I just wanted to die, Ruby is or was my whole world. She has lived next door to me since mum moved me and Christian here as kids. Weve spent countless summer's together having water fights in our backyard. The bike rides to our tree hut at the park every Saturday. The lemonade stands we had fundraising money for Ruby's cake making mircowave oven she wanted so badly when we were eight. Our first kiss under the apple tree down the street at Mrs Jones's house when we were thirteen. I can't believe Ruby's decided to take off and leave me, how is she going to deal with the loss of her mum without me? How are we going to get through this together if shes going to be half way around the world? I just don't get her reasoning for this. Maybe she doesn't want me anymore, what have I done for her to run away from everything. I wish I could read her mind right now.

It came to the arkward part of the conversation, as Ruby tried her hardest to explan this messy situation to him.

"Jase I'm not doing this to hurt you!" Ruby pleaded.

"You know that I love you, and having to say goodbye to mum has really got me thinking, I need to start getting to know Alex I may never get the chance to have to do that ever and here's my chance." Ruby sighed.

"I never told you I wanted to break up with you at all."

"I just didn't know how you would feel about having a long distance relationship? I can always come back and visit, you can come for holidays, we can send emails and can skype too. I don't want to lose you Jase but I need to do this."

The tension between them was so thick you could cut through the air with a knife. Ruby waited for a response from Jase as she could see him weighing up her suggestion.

"I don't want to lose you either." Jase finally managed to respond. He still kept his head down wiping the warm salty tears from his face.

"I'm willing to give our relationship a shot, but in return there is just one thing I want from you." He smirked by the end of his sentence, which made Ruby feel hopeful. "Ok, name your price Jase!" Ruby said with a cheeky smile.

"Let me stay tonight, I want to hold you for the whole night while you sleep it may be the first and last chance I get, please Rubbs."

"Well I don't mind, but I'll have to ask Alex though it's his decision." Ruby was thinking this had a 50-50 chance of going either way.

Alex's face was blank as Jase and Ruby pleaded their case to him. After all it was Ruby's last night in the country. His eyebrow raised as they both looked hopefully waiting on an answer.

"You can stay with a few conditions. 1 that Rachael could stay too, it was only fair she was Ruby's b.f.f. 2 all of us were to sleep in the lounge tonight and 3 no sex, you's two!!" Alex said with a stern tone.

"I'll call Rach!!" Ruby yelled as she grabbed the phone in the hallway and started dialling her number.
