Chapter 3: a morons death and a new retainer

So the saying goes 'where there is death, will always be death' an interesting line but Proven true. Issei still ended up dieing that Sunday when he pissed off a different fallen woman. And just like before, he was added to Rias' peerage after he died. I found this death so fitting that it was rather funny.

Raynare was adored by many students since her first day, of course I had to ignore the glares from people as she walked with me. After the next day Raynare and I were sitting in the club room when Issei and Kiba entered. Issei was confused of course until akeno entered the room. Issei heard the shower running and gained a perverted smile.

Book: "Ankokuken Kurayami!"

Issei suddenly felt the tip of my blade against his neck.

Kaito: "I would appreciate if you would refrain from your perversions while I am around."

Issei held up his hands in surrender.

Rias: "please calm down Kaito, I'm sure he's learned his lesson"

I removed my blade and walked to the couch before sitting by Raynare.

Kaito: "as you wish Rias"

I looked to Rias as she walked out of the shower fully dressed.

Rias: "now that everyone is here, I would like to officially welcome you into the Occult Research Club"

Issei: "uh, thanks"

Rias: "but you should know, the name of the club is just a front. It's suppose to look like this is some sort of hobby."

Issei looked confused at Rias.

Issei: "ok, so what is it really?"

I looked at Issei like he was even dumber than I thought.

Rias: "since you asked I'll be frank with you, I'm not the only devil here Issei"

Issei suddenly looked like he understood.

Issei: "wait, are you saying that's what all of you are?"

Kaito: "close but not everyone here is a devil, only most"

Rias: "that's correct everyone, except Kaito and Raynare here are devils."

I smile as Raynare nods.

Issei: "ok but then what are they?"

Kaito: "for now at least, I'm human. Raynare here is my first retainer."

Raynare stands when the others do, as I a burst of black feathers her wings appear.

Raynare: "I'm a fallen angel, I use to work with the man who ordered you to be killed. But I changed sides when I was given a chance at a better life as Kaitos retainer."

Issei: "so, why was I killed?"

Kaito: "that's would be your sacred gear, some fear it and others want it's power"

Issei looked at me confused as I stood up, and walked to him.

Issei: "sacred what now?"

Kaito: "something wielded by historical heroes and villains, you already saw my power"

Rias: "hold up your left hand, think of the most powerful point of your body and focus on that."

Issei did as he was told but looked a little frazzled.

Issei: "ok so we're doing this now? That's a lot of pressure"

Rias: "it will be easier if you focus"

I saw Issei try and focus but his perverted thoughts were getting in the way

Issei: "I can't do it, I'm a weak soul"

Kaito: "just keep trying, maybe when you're alone so your perversions won't cloud that tiny one track mind"

I ignored Issei for the rest of the night before I saw him return from flyer dutie.

Rias: "good, I have one more task for you. It seems Koneko is double booked, take one and get some experience"

I then stood and walked to the door.

Kaito: "I will be helping out with this one"

Issei nodded and stood on the circle before it vanished without him. I started laughing as I saw this.

Kaito: "I'll meet you there, don't get lost"

I lifted the Jaaku Dragon wonder ride book and caused a large book to appear in front of me. I walked into it as the pages turned rapidly. I was transported to the clients house.

Morosawa: "Kaito, is Koneko coming?"

I smiled evilly as I told him what happened. After a few minutes Issei showed up looking tired.

Kaito: "that's the new guy, hey Issei"

After a pitiful desplay and a heated debate on this worlds DBZ Issei and I left. I sensed someone behind us and turned a corner before she fully noticed me.

Kaito: 'this is my chance to get Kalawarner to join me and for Issei to unlock his power'

I sat back and watched Issei unlock his gear in an incomplete state before I stepped in and called for Raynare. She blocked Kalawarner from leaving before I told Issei to leave.

Issei: "but..."

Kaito: "you are not ready, now leave"

I glared at Issei causing him to run for it.

Raynare: " this is him, the wielder of Ankokuken Kurayami"

Raynare brought Kalawarner closer to me

Kaito: "Kalawarner, you are very loyal to your comrades, though I would like to tell you. The one leading you is not loyal to you, the ones named kokabiel and Dohnaseek only see you as expendable tools to restart a war."

Kalawarner looked confused and shocked.

Kaito: "I offer you more, work along side me not as a subordinate but as an equal. Become my retainer alongside Raynare and I promise you that you will be treated with much more respect and loyalty."

I held out my hand to her with a gentle smile. She was hesitant at first, most likely going though everything she had been through before she grabbed my hand with a nod. With a smile I transported all three of us home so Kalawarner could get dressed.
