I snuck into the room and ran towards my bag. I pulled out a small book that had a snake turning into a human on the cover. I flipped through the pages and found out that I was in the evolution stage, the stage before I became who I really was. I sliced my palm and shifted into my mortal form. "Phew!" I said with relief. I looked at Samantha's calendar, tonight was the dance. 'Shit!' I thought. I turned and ran for the bathroom to wash up, but came face-to-face with Samantha, confused as hell. "Uhh.. Look, I can explain!" I began. 'How to explain' was my question. How to explain, that I was from another world.
