The pleasure of sleep easily left my eyelids, and the torture focusing on waking up was killing me. I roll over in bed and let my feet touch the cold, soft carpet, and have my toes sink into the soft fabrics.

My eyes wonder to the closed window to see a boy, none other then the one and only Dylan O'Brien, sitting there with his finger to the glass. I lift the window and let him in.

"..Hello." I say and lie on my bed.

"Hey. Sorry to wake you, I needed help." Help? With what?

"With what?"

"I had a question and it was bugging me all night." He says as he lays his head on my stomach as I play with his buzzed yet slightly grown out hair.

"Shoot."

"What do you do when you like someone and you don't know if they like you back, and you want to try and get their attention in THAT kind of way. It's been bugging me to think of how unfair it is that one person likes another person, but will never know if they like them back." Wow. Dylan likes someone? My heart sunk a little. My hopes just dropped a bit.

"I wouldn't know, I feel that I can relate. Life is a bitch like that." I respond truthfully.

"You like someone?" He asked kind if quickly.

"Yea," I admit. But only because I'm half asleep.

"Who?" He asked hopefully as to get an answer.

"Do you really think I'm gonna tell you?" I asked.

"No, not really." He said and sat up, as I did.

"Do you remember how in 6th grade, you said that we should make a deal, but you had to get to know me first?" I ask.

"Yea, what about it?"

"Well I got to know you and you got to know me but we never went over what the deal was."

"Oh, we would be best friends forever no matter what." He said with a smile, and his warm hand grabbed my cold one as chills went through my body.

"Wow. We are gonna be starting senior year soon." I say with a sigh. Sixth grade I met this boy. "You know how people say friends split during freshmen year?"

"Yea," He responded, urging me to go on.

"I'm glad we are still friends, Dylan." I say as he pulled me into a warm hug.

"Me too Mary Jane, me too." He says and kisses the top of my head, sending butterflies throughout my body. "We will always be friends no matter what, I promise."
