A deal? We just met what kind of deal could this possibly be?
"A deal?" I asked, puzzled.
"Yeah a deal," he simply said. "but first I need to get to know you." He was looking at me straight in the eyes. They looked like honey. My eyes were brown but his were much prettier.
*bing bing bing*
That was the bell which meant we had to separate.
"We will talk about it later." He said getting up and throwing his stuff away. I also threw my stuff away. As I was at my locker I saw Dylan at the end if the hallway on the other side. at least our lockers are somewhat close. I walked to my next class and saw Dylan there so I took a seat next to him.
"Hey," I said and smiled.
"Hi MJ!" He said happily. I was glad he was happy because he seemed sad at lunch and in the morning.
"So what about the deal you were talking about at lunch?" I asked.
"Oh! Well everyday at school we have to tell each other one fact about ourselfves until... umm... the beginning of summer." He said smiling widely. It was cute, how excited he seemed to be at the idea.
"But what if we run out of facts?" I asked.
"Then we would be best friends because we will know everything about each other!" He said excitedly. He was weird, but in a good way. A very good way.
"That's a good idea! So starting when?" I asked again.
"How about... umm... tomorrow?" he asked me this time.
"Sounds good." I smiled and paid attention to the teacher the rest if the class period and went on with my day, up until my mom picked me up from school and took me home where I told her what I needed and didn't need for school.

After dinner, my mom tucked me into bed.
"Good night Mary Jane. Don't let the bed bugs bite!" My Mom said quietly. I feel asleep thinking about Dylan. His honey brown eyes and enthusiasm for the oddest things. He was quite unique, and he was quite special.
>>> If you are confused this is told from 6th grade Mary Jane who is maybe 11 so I hope that helps!!
