After I showered I got changed into black leggings and a grey sweater. I combed my hair and did my makeup. I only did mascara because I wasn't to fond on using a lot of makeup.
I walked downstairs and put on some black vans. I decide on going to the roof again, I wanted to see that boy. I was surprised that I did, because I usually hate socializing, but he made that change.
I walked down to the building, smelling the fresh air. I've always loved the smell of air. I climbed up the ladder and saw him sitting there. I sat next to him, so maybe he would talk to me. I wasn't that much of an awkward person, but in this situation I feel really awkward.
"Hey." He said in a hoarse voice.
"Hi." I replied back.
"I realized that I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Luke." He said.
"I'm Diana." I replied.
"I know who you are." He said in a somewhat smug tone.
"Oh."
I regret coming. I know his name now, but you could almost literally see the awkwardness that was radiating off of me.
" I've never seen you around before. Considering this is a small town."
I said.
"Of course you haven't seen me around,who has?" He laughed dryly.
Then lit a cigarette.
I stayed silent. I wasn't quite sure how to reply to that. I inhaled some of the smoke, which resulted in me coughing. He just laughed.
"Why do you come up here all the time?" I asked him suddenly. There was a long pause before he said anything.
"To think." He replied simply.
"Do you live here?" I asked.
"Why do you ask so many questions?"
"I'm not sure, I guess I'm just curious." I replied warily. Tying not to say the wrong thing.
"Wanna be friends?" He asked.
Now that, surprised me the most of anything today. I don't even know his last name, yet he wants to be friends. There was a short silence before I answered.
"Sure." I said.
"Good, wanna get to know each other?" He laughed.
"Yeah, you go first."
"Okay, what's your favorite color?"
"Black or blue."
"What's your last name?" I said pathetically. It sounded really stupid but I had to know somehow.
"Hemmings." He answered
"Are you a virgin?" He said with a smirk. Why do all boys ask that?
"Why does every guy ask that? No, I'm not." I said.
"Who did you fuck?" He asked. I think he's getting amusement from this. I'm not even sure if we were still playing twenty questions or not. I took a big breath of fresh air.
"It's none of your business." I replied
"We'll don't friends tell each other secrets?"
"No, best friends do. Not friends."
"Well, I guess I'll have to wait until we are best friends then."
"I guess so." I replied. Getting up.
"You have to leave? Why so soon?"
He said, sounding genuinely disappointed.
"Yeah, I have to go to my friends house." I lied. I needed time to think about this.
"You can't stay just a little bit longer?" He said while grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers.
I was so in shock by the electricity I felt I didn't answer for atleast ten seconds.
"I guess so." I replied shakily.
LUKE'S P.O.V.
Wow, I didn't think that one day, I would simply just come up here and find her. She was so beautiful. I wanted her to stay here with me forever.
"I never was able to ask you, but what's your phone number?" I said scratching the back of my neck.
*** *** **** she typed in, adding a little smiley face next to it. She was so cute. Just looking at that made me smile.
"There." She said.
"Okay well I have to leave now, but I'll see you tomorrow?" She said sadly.
"Okay ill see you tomorrow." I said, trying to hide my sadness with a smile.
"Bye." She said as she walked away.
"Goodbye." I said quietly. I'm not sure if she heard it though.
