AN I got the shoe idea from a tiktok about Blaise and Luna - but I can't remember the user, if anyone happens to know what I'm talking about let me know so I can credit <3
"You're not wearing shoes," Draco sighed as he approached her. As always Juno was there before him. She was sporting a big yellow raincoat, her face seemed to be hidden miles underneath the hood as the material swamped her small frame. Draco wore a long, black, tailored trench coat, a clear umbrella rested on his shoulder, keeping him covered from the rain that lashed down, bouncing off the ground. They were walking opposites, she was the sun and he was the moon. "It's freezing and it's wet, Juno, why aren't you wearing shoes?"
"They've all gone missing," She shrugged up at him, "Happens all the time. I suspect nargles. They show up - eventually,"
Blissfully unaware, Juno watched the rain in a daze, tapping her feet together, clad in only a pair of odd socks. Draco knew the truth of the situation - students had always stolen things from the Lovegoods and hidden them in odd places - he didn't have the heart to tell her that.
"So, we stay out here in the rain?" He asked, still stood, not wanting to soak himself through.
"Yep," she nodded, from where she sat on the floor. "I've been waiting for you to get here first though, come here,"
He stepped towards her, and she took his hands, finally standing up from the sodden floor. "Opercelum"
An invisible barrier formed over their heads, sheltering them from the rain. She cast a drying spell on the ground, herself, and Draco, before lighting a small fire and settling down against the tree trunk.
"You didn't have to wait until I got here to do that, you know?" He chuckled.
"I like sitting in the rain."
"Have you ever been asked the question 'if you were stranded on a desert island and you could only bring one thing, what would you bring?'" He began as he sat beside her, watching as she routed through her bag, routinely pulling out the instruments to roll a joint. She shook her head. "Well, I'd take you,"
"Me?"
"Have you seen your survival skills?" He laughed, motioning the little den she had created for them.
"I'm well practiced, I've been doing this almost every week since we started at Hogwarts,"
"I feel the world has a lot to learn from you, Juniper Lovegood," He grinned towards her. "Starting with how to roll, can you give me a lesson?"
"Sure," She smiled, scooting towards him, passing him his own paper and roach. "Watch carefully,"
She demonstrated slowly, one step at a time, showing him what to do with her own then guiding him through his. For such a well put-together person, he was terribly clumsy. "You're being too heavy handed," She giggled, wrapping her small hands around the outside of his, "Gentle, see, like this, tuck the paper in, then roll." Clumsily, he managed to roll something that resembled a joint, a victorious grin taking over his features as he licked the paper. The joint bent at the roach, and leaned one way slightly, but it was smokeable, and that's all that mattered. "Well done. Wanna try again?" He nodded eagerly and she placed the rolled joints back into her tin, pulling out everything she needed to roll again.
"Okay, you show me again, then I'll do it after,"
He watched with the upmost concentration as she rolled, his brows furrowing, observing closely at the more intricate sections. When it came to his turn, she had to steady his hands again, but it was fractionally more successful than the last. He liked it when she taught him things, it seemed to always end up with her hands in his, he revelled in that feeling. She laughed as he held up his joint, again, it wasn't perfect, but he was proud of what he'd done, so she was happy.
