I Was Born For This

Three million divided by one million... come on, easy right?

"All right, everyone." dad said. "Time to hunt. Come on." Then everyone other than mum, Kellin, Tara, Trey, and Iris walked to the back of the house.

"Bye, babe. Don't get yourself hurt or in trouble." Kellin laughed.

"Okay, knuckle head." I rubbed the top of his hair. He kissed me then turned. He ran vampire speed to the back door.

"I see you two are getting along very nicely." Iris said.

"Yes. We are." I smiled.

"Good. Want to come watch movies with us?"

"Yeah, sure. I just need to go get my cellphone." I walked up the stairs, went in Kellin's room and grabbed my phone as soon as it began to ring. It was my mum. "Hello."

"Elizabeth, where are you? We've been trying to get in touch with you all day. We came home early to surprise you, but we couldn't find you. We called Alisa and your other friend, Leila. Who's house are you at?" she said in such a rush.

"Mum, I'm at my boyfriends house." I'm freaking 20, not 2!

"B-Boyfriend? When did this happen?" she asked a little hurt.

"Give me the phone." I hear my dad say in the background. "Since when have I let you go to a boys house without my permission? Come home, now." I get so angry at this.

"I'm twenty years old, dad, not 2. Maybe if you weren't gone all the time you'd know that." I ended the call. The only way I'm going back there is to get my things. I'll just have to do that tomorrow.

I went back downstairs and sat down on the couch. "So, what we watching?"

"A Vampire's Enemy. Which is very stereotypical. Could you take a guess on the enemy?" Tara asks.

"Werewolves." I said more of a fact than a question.

"Yep. In all honesty, werewolves are actually our closest friends."

"Look at that! Are you serious?! Werewolves don't even look like that!" Iris shouts at an horrid creature on the telly.

"She gets the most angry at all of these." Tara says.

"I see. I'm gonna go get something to drink and eat." I walk into the kitchen and see Trey. He was cooking spaghetti.

"Yes, vampires really do eat human food, too." he said, his back still facing me.

"How'd you know I was coming?" 

"I'm a vampire. How do you think?"

"Oh right. Can I have some of that?" I ask. It be lookin gerd!

"Of course. I made enough for five." he said smiling. He had black, short, and choppy hair. His eyes were a very light gray. He was buff, like he worked out a lot.

"What's your power, Trey?"

"Electricity. Like shocking people and stuff."

"Awesome! Do all of you have powers like that?"

"Yeah. Tara can move objects. Iris has the control over senses. Angelique can see the future. Nathan has control over the mind. Bryan can change form. Chris is a jumper. Drew can become invisible and he's the strongest of us all. Maura can cause pain. Natalia is a shielder."
