Adrien had finished up his work and walked in on this conversation with no context
He suddenly felt horrible of course Marinette would have moved on. he was an idiot for not noticing his feelings sooner. Yet knowing that didn't help the stinging in his eyes. He ran away as to not make a scene or make Marinette for feeling bad.
He heard a flapping noise and tried to stop crying yet nothing helped, the insect flew into his scarf made by her.
" Limelight, you have been replaced by the timing of your feelings. I'm giving you the power to change that, now everyone will see you, and therefore your feelings. You will be able to erase your competition and take the one you love, back. In return bring me the earrings of a pesky bug and the ring of an annoying cat!"

Marinette was hanging out with Luka and helping him with some things when suddenly the tv turned on showing and talking about an Akuma named limelight. No matter how much Luka tried to change the channel noticing Marinette's worry and distress. It remained no the less on the channel.
"You can't get rid of me that easily Luka!" limelight smiled from the tv scarring both Marinette and Luka.
" WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! ME AND MARI ARE JUST FRIENDS!" Luka said protecting Marinette
"LIAR! but no matter once you are out of the picture Mari will be mine." limelight said glaring before smiling "Mari, forget Luka."
Mari's eyes glazed over as she forgot about Luka.
Luka scrambled to make her remember him but nothing worked.
