Birthday Wish Gone Wrong..

Chapter Two

Ruby was finally dressed and ready for her party. Her friends were just arriving as she came down the door, meanwhile her Mum was in the kitchen organising the last few bits of the party food.

Ruby was quite a popular 16 year old girl in her school so she had quite a lot of friends, of course for her party she only invited a couple of her closest friends. They were also of course girls, Ruby attends an all girls school so she gets company off only girls which obviously she is happy with.

All 5 of her friends entered the livingroom, they are: Sophie, Louise, Rebecca, Becky & Lily. Lily of course is Rubys bestfriend of all.

"Lets get this party started then girls!" Shouted Rubys Mum as she walked into the livingroom where it was full of Rubys friends.

"So.. what game should we start with?" Said Rubys Mum filling the room with excitement.

"Pass the parcel!" Shouted Ruby.

So her mum started with Ruby as she was the Birthday girl. The parcel went round and... the music stopped! It landed on Rebecca. "Tear it open Becca!" They all shouted. So she tore off the first layer of wrapping paper and she found a little bracelet; plastic of course. So the music started playing again and the parcel went around and around.. then suddenly it stopped again, this time it landed on Lily. "Oh wow!" She said as she tore the paper off and there it was, her prize.. she won a Eminem CD. Ruby sat there and cheered Lily "Well done Lils!!".

"Right, the next game is Musical Statues!" Said Rubys Mum.

Of course because it was Rubys party her Mum decided to play Eminem really loud which Ruby loved, she danced and danced and suddenly.. STOP! The music stopped, Rubys Mum walked round and looked at each of the girls; none moved. The music started playing again 'La La La' they all sang along dancing and suddenly again.. STOP! Unlucky for Sophie, she wobbled and dropped. The music started up again, but to make it even tricky it would stop when they least expected it. The music stopped and all the girls lost their balance and all tumbled down on each other! So there was no winners there, just a bundle of giggly girls struggling to get back up.

Just then Ruby recieved a message on her mobile from a unknown number which said "I know where u live & i know what ur doin. When i see you im gonna kill you, no1 likes you.. be warned!" Ruby stood there shaking worried at the message she was sent. Lily came over and asked "Rubs, are you okay?" Ruby answered back hiding the fear in her eyes "Yeah, of course I am its my Birthday." Lily gave her a hug and joined the rest of the group. Just then  as Ruby was just about to walk over to everyone, another text came through saying "im gonna knock on ur door and when i do let me in b*#@h, ur gonna die tonite." The door knocked and Ruby ran for it looked through the peep hole, someone was in a disguise so she ran away.

The next part of the party was the cake, everyone was told to stand by the wooden table in the second room and Ruby was told to stand in the middle. Her Mum walked in with not just any cake but her cake had a picture of Eminem on it, next to Eminems mouth there was a speech bubble which red "Happy 16th Birthday Ruby!" She tried to act excited but text message came into her head. "Aint you going to blow the candles out?" Said her Mum. Lily then added "Make a wish too."

So Ruby took a deep breath and blew the candles out "I wish I was dead!" She said as she cried. Everyone crowded asking if she was okay and she just kept nodding her head; obviously she wasnt but didnt want anyone else to know what was going on.

Later that day Ruby recieved a final warning message saying "This is ur final warnin' lemme in NOW!!!" So Ruby let the uncover person in but before she could even shut the door the person had grabbed her, covered her mouth, took her upstairs to her room and locked the door! The person hit her constantly leaving her with blood marks on her face. Ruby tried to ask who the person was, but they gave no name and continued to hit her. At this moment Ruby thought back to her wish 'I wish I was dead' she started thinking different thoughts 'I dont want to die, I didnt mean a word I said, please let me live'. Just then she felt something hit inside her, what was it .. well whatever it was it was hurting her. As the person took it out, she saw .. omg it was a KNIFE. She held her left side and felt something wet, she looked and saw blood! Omg, I've been stabbed! She looked up and saw, she was surprised .. it .. it was .. omg it was Lily!! Ruby cried and asked "Why did you do this to me?" Lily replied "It was your wish, you made your wish a death wish." Ruby asked back "Why did you hit me so much?" As she clutched her left side tighter. Lily replied "I've always been jealous of you, since the day we became friends. You get everything you want, I've wanted to try and fit in with you but nothing works. I understand were supposed to be best friends but its hard, were just too different. So I thought I'd hurt you like it hurt me." Just as Lily finished talking Rubys eyes started closing slowly, but just before they closed she said "I guess what people say are right, wishes do come true." Rubys eyes finally closed and Lily sat there crying "Happy Birthday Ruby." Then she made a run for it and left her bestfriend there on her bedroom floor.. Dead.
