Crisis of Love

Jungkook is well-versed in the story, but he suddenly loses his ability to speak. He is dumbfounded for a few moments, but then he stands up, clears his throat, and begins speaking.

"How did you react?" he asks, despite the fact that he is well aware of the other's reaction.

"Obviously, I cried." he hisses. "I didn't want to believe him and kept telling myself that he was lying. He wasn't, however" he says, a chuckle of skepticism in his voice.

"Did you ever try to contact him after he left?" because he has no idea about this one, the therapist inquires curiously. During his time in Japan, he never received any phone calls or messages.

"Yes. I guess he changed his phone number because I called him several times and his parents always answered " as Taehyung says it, Jungkook's jaw drops.

"Enough is enough. Is it true you called me?" Jungkook inquires, his tears dripping down his cheeks.

"Jungkook, you are right. During the initial months. Your parents responded a couple of times, suggesting that I should leave you alone because you've already found a new, lovely girlfriend. Then they either blocked or disconnected my phone number " he says in a saddened but furious manner.

"I can't believe what they've said. In the last five years, I have never had a girlfriend or a boyfriend. For the love of God, I'm gay!" he yells angrily as he stands up.

"I know," Taehyung replies softly as he stands from his seat. He takes a few steps closer to his beloved after a brief moment of hesitation. He gives him a protective hug, and now he's the one who lets him cry on his shoulder.

Jungkook is now very overwhelmed. He was totally unaware of the situation. He was told to forget about Taehyung since he can't be gay and that they will split up soon. He was so impressionable because he was so young, naive, and innocent. He adored Taehyung and wanted to protect him at all costs, but he had no idea how much Taehyung would suffer after he had left.

Taehyung whispers, "It's okay, Jungkook," as he gently touches the back of his neck.
