Evan and I were sitting on a bench, eating candy apples while admiring the foliage in front of us. Way at the bottom of the mountains, there was a cozy village decorated with Christmas lights and adorned with garland. Because of how tiny it looked from where we were, it reminded me of the kind of village you would see inside a snow globe.

"These views are majestic" he gazed at me, deep into my eyes "but not as majestic as you are"

I smiled at his comparison, and caressed his cheek with my right hand.

We both enjoyed soaking in the scenery because it was so crisp and pristine.

Of course where we live is quiet too, but there's something so magical about actually being in the center of nature.

No noise, no problems, no one telling you who you're allowed and not allowed to love. It's a place where we come to never have to worry about anything.

"I wonder if we'll ever be allowed to see each other"

"I mean, we're surrounded by so many golden leaves it practically looks like a sunset fell from the sky and I'm over here, admiring the most beautiful girl in all existence"

"I'm lucky to have you, Evan"

Evan is so charming and endearing, that I would be willing to count all the stars in every galaxy just to prove my love for him.

"And I'm lucky to have you too, Minerva"

He smiled at me a bright cherry smile, and my heart was skip racing from the moon and back 7,000 times, then to the sun, then to infinity, back to the moon, and then back to earth.

Next scene

I was sitting on my front porch swing with my type writer on my lap, writing a sonnet about how much I treasure Evan. While I was typing, I was eating from a bag of caramel candies. It's crazy to think I got 100 of them for only five pennies. What's more crazier is that we each got a pack of candy cigarettes and the faces everyone made at us while we were walking down the street with the candy in our mouths was priceless.

He's as precious as the moon
I love him every single day
My heart strings play in tune
I wish it could always be this way

I'm deeply in love with him
I sincerely love everything he does
Struck by an ongoing whim
'cause his smile makes my heart fuzz

In my life, I want him to be a permanent part
When we met, a unique rhythm was found
That's when I knew I loved him from the start
Everything feels perfect whenever he's around

I happily think about him, lovingly all the time
and I certainly can't help it that he's sweet
The thoughts I feel about him are not a crime
his sole existence makes my heart skip a beat

After I was done writing, a blue cardinal landed on my finger nail, it was the most beautiful bird I ever seen. Seeing it so up close, was a marvelous experience that I hope happens often.

The bird flew away a few seconds later and I looked in astonishment, as it flew further up into the sky.
