All the campers were at the campfire listening to Chris "This is camp Wawanakwa you're home for the next 8 weeks. The campers sitting around you will be your cabin mates, your competition, and maybe even your friend ya dig? The camper who manages to stay on total Drama Island the longest without getting voted off will win $100,000.
Duncan walked forward "Excuse me, What will the sleeping arrangements be, because I'd like to request a bunk under her?" He said smirking while pointing at Asteria
Asteria glared at him "There not co-ed are they?" She asked turning her attention back to Chris.
"No. Girls get one side of each cabin and dudes get the other."
Lindsey lifts her hand up "Excuse me, Kyle? Can Asteria and I get the view of the lake since we're the prettiest?" Asteria smiles and pats her head which causes Lindsey to smile at her.
"Okay you both are the prettiest, but that's not really how it works here and it's Chris."
"I have to live with Sadie, or I'll die," Katie said.
"And I'll break out in hives. It's true," Saide said, while they both hold hands
Gwen sighs annoyed "This cannot be happening."
Owen pulled Gwen and Tyler into a one-arm hug. "Aww come on guys! It'll be fun, it's like a big sleepover!" He exclaimed, with a huge smile on his face.
Tyler leans towards Gwen looking panicked "At least you don't have to sleep next to him," gesturing towards Duncan. Asteria who was listening in on their conversation and looked towards where he was gesturing. Duncan was harassing a deer. Duncan looks up and winks at her.
"Here's the deal. We're gonna split you into two teams," Asteria turned back to Chris. "If I call your name out, go stand over there. Gwen. Trent. Heather. Cody. Lindsay. Beth. Katie. Owen. Leshawna. Justin. And... Noah. From this moment on, you are officially known as... the Screaming Gophers!" He throws Owen a large green banner which unfurls to reveal gopher baring teets and looking for a fight.
Owen holds up the banner "Yeah! I'm a Gopher! Wooo!"
"Wait! What about Saide!" Kaide asked.
"The rest of you, over here. Geoff. Bridgette. DJ. Tyler. Sadie. Izzy. Courtney. Ezekiel. Duncan. Eva, and... Harold. Move, move, move, move!" Chris said
"But Katie's a Gopher! I have to be a Gopher!" Sadie whined.
"Saide, is it?" Courtney asked " Come on it's okay," She said reassuringly. She gently guides Sadie to her teammates.
"This is so unfair! I miss you, Katie," Sadie cried out.
"I miss you too!" Katie cried out.
Chris throws Harold a red banner that unrolls to show a bass looking ready to get violent.
"That's awesome! It's like...amazing!" Harold said in awe while holding up the banner.
"You guys will officially be known as... the Killer Bass!"
Chris turns towards Asteria "Now you sweetheart. You'll be in Gophers for now."
Asteria was noticeably confused, Chris noticed and decided to elaborate "We were supposed to have 22 campers and since you were added, you'll switch between teams until I decide to stop," He laughed sadistically. "All right, campers, you and your team will be on camera in all public areas during this competition." He pointed out the visible cameras.
