Boyhood is childhood in all its glory
it is play fights in the park and
summers spent on the beach butt naked
to live as a boy is to be eternally young
Excluded from the burden of maturity.
Spiteful words left unpunished and
simple acts praised.
To live as a boy is to be envied.
Because boys will be boys
Girls will never be girls.
Girls must be women.
To live as a girl is to be robbed.
